3 c Sugar 2 Sticks butter 1/2 c Shortening 5 Large eggs 1/4 ts Salt 3 c Flour 1 cn Small can evaporated milk (3/4 cup) + water to make 1 cup 2 ts Almond extract Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and salt, cream well. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a very lightly greased 12 cup bundt pan. Put into cold oven; set temperature at 320F. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.

This ALMOND POUND CAKE is so easy to make. It is best to have some with tea. Must try this recipe, I'm sure you are gonna love it. . . . ingredients: eggs 3 caster sugar 150g oil 150g self raising flour 150g vanilla essence 1/2 tsp milk 2tbsp almonds (chopped and roasted) 1/4 cup (and if you dont have self raising flour, just add 1tsp of baking powder into the flour( 150g) and sift) . direction: take eggs in a bowl and beat for a minute while beating gradually add the sugar and oil and beat altogether for 2 to 3 minutes. sift self raising flour in the egg mixture and mix. add vanilla essence and milk in the batter and mix well. pour the batter into a loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes 180°C.
