How To make Lighter Pound Cake
2 1/4 Cups Flour,All-Purpose
3/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/8 Teaspoon Mace,Ground
1/2 Cup Margarine,Corn Oil
1 Cup Sugar
3 Egg Whites
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup Buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mace. Mix well and set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream margarine and sugar together until smooth. Add egg whites and vanilla; blend until smooth. Alternately add flour mixture and buttermilk to batter in two additions each, blending well after each addition. Spoon batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour. Let cake cool before slicing. 3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
1 TBS vanilla
1/4 tsp butter flavoring
1/4 cup buttermilk
Bake on 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. If not golden or toothpick isn’t clean, bake in 10 minute increments.
**Remember, make sure ALL your cold ingredients are at ROOM TEMPERATURE** Don’t play yourself. Room temperature.

Rich Soft and Moist Pound Cake | Ghana Pound Cake
INGREDIENTS
500g of self raising flour (When using plain flour add 1 1/2tbsp of baking powder)
500g of butter
300g of castor sugar ( you can also use white sugar)
1/2 cup of evaporated milk
6 large eggs
2tsp of vanilla essence
1/4tsp of food coloring (Pink)
1/2tsp of nutmeg
* NOTES * Bake at 180 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes but please check your oven settings and adjust the temperature. Your can check if your cake is baked to perfection by using a tooth pick or kebab stick to poke through. If it comes out dry and clean then your cake is baked.
For the milk you can also use the normal full cream milk.
