(3 1/2 oz) 4 eggs 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup oil 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon almond extract 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon Sprinkle 1/2 cup almonds on bottom of greased 10-inch tube pan. Set aside rest of almonds and chocolate chips. Place remaining ingredients in mixer bowl. Beat 4 minutes. Fold in chips and almonds, then pour into pan. Bake in 350 F oven 60 to 70 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan. Serve with topping of whipped cream if desired. Note from me: A nice touch would be to puncture finished cake with long-tined fork. Dribble over cake about 1/4 cup Kahlua. Then serve with sweetened whipped cream flavored with almond or vanilla extract.

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups plain/all pourpose flour 2 tablespoons coca powder 1 teaspoon baking powder Pinch of salt 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 large eggs or 3 small 1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract 1 Cup milk Black food colouring 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon white vinegar
Butter cream frosting:
1 cup/2 sticks butter 3 cups icing/confectionary sugar pinch of salt 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Wir haben zum Vergleich erst den Black Velvet Kuchen gebacken und dann den Kondensmilch Schokoladen Kuchen. Das Ergebnis: Der Kondensmilch Schoko Kuchen wird aufgrund des Schwarzen Kakao genauso schwarz wie der Black Velvet Cake mit Lebensmittelfarbe. Daher haben wir uns entschieden aus den beiden unterschiedlichen Rezepten ein Video zu machen, um euch zu zeigen das es auch ohne Lebensmittelfarbe geht. Geschmacklich sind beide sehr lecker. Beide Cakes eignen sich zum Füllen und als Kuchenbasis zum Stapeln von Torten.
Tipp: Man kann den zweiten Kuchen (ohne Lebensmittelfarbe) auch in einer 17cm Backform backen aber er wird dann nicht so hoch wie im Video.
We first baked the Black Velvet cake followed by the condensed chocolate cake. As a result we noticed that the condensed milk chocolate cake due to the black cocoa became just as black as the black velvet cake with edible color. So we decided to make one video out of those two different recipes in order to show you that you don't necessarily need to add food color to get a black cake. Both cakes are very tasty and they can be filled or be used as a cake base for stacking cakes.
Tip: You can bake the second cake (without additional food coloring) in a 17cm baking pan as well, but it won't get as high as shown in the video.
