Bake in pre-heated 325 degree oven for 1 hour 15 minutes. Do not open oven door. Test for doneness with tooth pick. Let cake cool in pan on rack for 45 minutes before attempting to remove.

Crockpot Dump Cakes | CROCKTOBER
Today I’m collaborating with The Kitchen Wife to celebrate CROCKTOBER! I’m sharing 3 different flavors of Crockpot Dump Cake recipes including Vanilla Pecan Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate Pumpkin Spice, and Pear Cranberry Spice. Using the crockpot for dessert is the perfect way to keep your oven free, but have a warm, cozy dessert ready to go when you want it!

PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE SQUARES:
Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake
2- 15 oz. cans pumpkin puree
½ c. white sugar
½ c. brown sugar
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 box yellow or chocolate cake mix
½ c. pecans (optional)
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Spray the inside of your crockpot with baking spray. Add the pumpkin puree, white sugar, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk together to combine. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the surface of the pumpkin. Scatter the pecans, if using, over the top. Drizzle the melted butter all over the cake mix. Place the lid on the crockpot and set for 2 hours on HIGH. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!
Pear Cranberry Spice Dump Cake
2-15 oz. cans pear slices in syrup (drained, but reserve juices)
¼ c. dried cranberries
½ tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 box spice cake mix
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Spray the inside of your crockpot with baking spray. Pour in the pear slices. Scatted the dried cranberries over top. Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar over the surface. Pour about 1/3 of the reserved pear juices into the crockpot. Stir the spice cake mix into the melted butter with a fork until clumps form. Use your fingers to evenly scatter the cake mix and butter mixture evenly over the surface. Place the lid on the crockpot and set for 2 hours on HIGH. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!

I LOVE my slow cooker, and when I saw that you could make cake in one, I had to try it! This coffee cake is so simple, just throw it in your crockpot and forget about it for a few hours.

Ingredients for this recipe:
dough:
2 cups flour
3/4 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
3/4 cup (ish) milk
1 (or 2) tsp vanilla
streusel:
1/4 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
*Note: This recipe calls for salt, however, I used salted butter so I decided to omit it from my coffee cake, it turned out great!
