How To make Smothered Steak Strips
2 lbs chuck roast -- cut in 1" strips
1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 lg onion
2 lg green peppers
1/2 c ketchup
1 c barbecue sauce
1/2 c water
4 ozs mushrooms, canned
1 tbsp molasses
2 tbsps brown sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
Place steak strips, flour, salt, and pepper in slow cooker. Stir well to coat steak. Slice onions and pepper very thin. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cover, cook on high for 1 hour, low for 8 hours. Serve over rice, noodles, potatoes, or with crusty bread. Also makes a good sandwich filling.

-Worcestershire sauce (15 drops)
-soy sauce (20 drops)
-all purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
*Mix well pour over pepper steak*

Oil to fry
Olive oil to rub on steaks
Onion
Equal parts flour equal parts oil
Kitchen bouquet for color
Chicken bullion for rice

Ingredients
1.50 Lbs Boneless Blade or Chuck Steak
1 Large Onion, chopped
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
3-1/2 Cups Water
1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbs Browning & Seasoning Sauce
2 Tbs Seasoning Salt
1 Tbs Garlic Powder
1 Tbs Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp Thyme
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
1. Clean steak by rinsing thoroughly with 1 tbs of salt and cool water.
2. Season steak with seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and pepper, then seasonings in well.
3. Coat steak with 1/2 cup flour and sit aside for 15-20 minutes
4. Chop onion into medium size pieces.
5. Combine water with remaining 4 tbs of flour, worcestershire sauce, and browning sauce, then stir in well.
6. Place a pan over high heat.
7. Add steak and fry for 5 minutes on both sides, then sit aside.
8. Remove most of oil, leaving 4 tbs of oil in pan and place over high heat.
9. Add chopped onions and saute for 1 minute.
10. Reduce heat to low-medium heat.
11. Add steak to pan.
12. Add slurry.
13. Cook until gravy thickens, about 35-40 minutes (cover with a lid for very tender steak).

Smothered Venison Steak | One-Minute Recipe!
This one minute recipe features smothered venison steak, golden potatoes, & Brussels sprouts.
Ingredients:
(Smothered Deer Steak)
•1-2 lb of deer steaks, these were round steaks cut from the ham.
•1 can of cream of mushroom soup
•1 packet of French onion mix
•1-2 cups of water
•1/3 cup of flour
•3 table spoons of vegetable oil
Directions:
(Smothered Deer Steak)
Cover both sides of thawed steak with with flour and use a tenderizer for pound in. Cut steaks into cubes or slice like we did in the video. Next, add oil and turn the heat to medium and brown both sides of the meat. This should take somewhere in the 10-15 minute range. Add packet of dry onion soup, 1/2 to 1 cup of water, and cream of mushroom soup to the soup. Be sure to stir, then reduce heat to simmer and cook an additional 1-2 hours based on your desired tenderness. You can always add more water during the cooking process, depending on how you want it!
(River Rub Potatoes)
Preheat oven to 450
Dice golden potatoes and add to a ziploc bag with River rub seasoning and olive oil. Next, squeeze the bag to mix the ingredients and then place them on a baking sheet.
Cook for 30 minutes
We used a steamer bag for the Brussels sprouts!

SMOTHERED STEAK | SIMPLE & EASY
Boneless Chuck Steak
1 Large Onion (sliced)
1 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1 Tsp Lemon Pepper1 Packet Goya Sazon
1 Knorr's Bouillon Cube
1 Tsp Pepper
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Butter
2 1/2 Cups Beef Broth
Flour
Oil
Clean steak and let rest to room temperature. Season and let sit for about 30 minutes; flour meat and heat oil and butter; brown meat on both sides and set aside. Add onions to skillet and cook for a couple of minutes and remove. Add flour to oil and stir until it begins to brown and thicken; add beef broth in increments - or until you get your desired thickness, add more broth if needed. Return meat and all juices back to the skillet and simmer on low for about 45 minutes.
