Easy Pound Cake (Cake Mix Pound Cake)
This is an updated video of my previous video which is a slideshow. The recipe is the same.
This pound cake recipe is versatile. I made lemon flavor here. You can make a variety of pound cakes by substituting the cake mix and pudding mix as desired, see suggestions below. Recommend using Duncan Hines cake mix for the best result.
Ingredients:
1 box Duncan Hines lemon cake mix (or other flavors if making a different kind of cake flavor)
4 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk or milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 box instant lemon pudding mix (small box) or vanilla or any flavor of pudding mix you desired)
1/2 cup sour cream, optional
1 ts. lemon zest, optional
Method:
1. In a mixer bowl, with a paddle attachment, combine all of the ingredients at once for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
2. Pour the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
3. Bake at 350 deg. F for 45-55 minutes or until a screwed insert comes out clean. For dark metal pan bake at 325 deg. for 50-60 minutes.
4. Let the cake stand in its pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool.
5. Cool completely before cutting. Drizzle with a glaze or sprinkle with powdered sugar if wanted. Serve with fruit and whipped cream or pastry cream/lemon curd.
