How To make Oriental Beef with Ginger
2 tb Vegetable oil
1/2 ts Finely chopped fresh ginger
1 Garlic clove
peeled and finely chopped 1 c Sliced onions (2 med.)
1 Green pepper, in 1/4" strips
1 c Diagonally sliced celery
:
(3 med. stalks) 1 c Beef stock
preferably homemade 2 tb Soy sauce
1 ts Granulated sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Cornstarch
1 lb Boneless beef steak
:
sirloin or round very thinly sliced 3 md Tomatoes (1 lb.)
:
peeled and quartered Salt and pepper to taste 4 Servings hot cooked rice
Note: To vary this dish, add broccoli florets or bok choi, coarsely chopped. In a wok or heavy skillet, heat the oil. Add ginger, garlic, onions, green pepper and celery; saute several minutes, stirring, until tender-crisp. Remove vegetables. (Can be done up to this point in advance, if desired.) Combine stock, soy sauce, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a small bowl; set aside. Heat skillet, adding more oil if needed. Add beef and sear quickly, stirring frequently, several minutes. Add stock-soy sauce mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add reserved cooked vegetables. Add quartered tomatoes and heat through. Serve with hot cooked rice. ✏️ ½tbsp of Oyster Sauce / Sos Tiram
✏️ 1 pinch of White Pepper / Serbuk Lada Putih
✏️ 1 pinch of Salt / Garam
✏️ ½tsp of Corn Flour / Tepung Jagung

Stir fried Beef with Ginger and Spring Onions - 姜葱牛肉
Recipe at:
A very simple Chinese style stir fry dish. Using two of the most common aromatics - ginger and spring onion, we give the tender beef slices some beautiful fragrance.
The crux of any stir fry dish is heat control. Make sure your wok is smoking hot before throwing in the beef slices. Doing this seals in the meat juices and also imparts a smoky flavour to the dish. Within minutes, the beef will be almost cooked, then we add the spring onions and glaze with some shaoxing wine for that wonderful finish.

Stir-fried Beef with Scallions / spring onions and Ginger is easily one of the top 10 best-loved Chinese dishes. It has a terrific flavor, yet can be made in just a few minutes.
Ingredients:
1 lb (about 1/2 kg) sirloin beef
4 to 5 stalks scallions or spring onions
One piece thumb-sized fresh ginger
2 cloves of garlic
Marinade
1/4 tsp baking soda (as meat tenderizer)
2 tsp corn starch
1 tbsp (15 g) Shioxing wine
1 tbsp (15 g) soy sauce
Stir-fry sauce
1/4 cup (60 ml) water
2 tsp corn starch
2 tbsp (30 g) oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
