Dad’s Recipe: Chinese Steamed Salmon Steam With Soy Bean Paste Healthy MOIST & Delicious
So simply, tasty and healthy! Packed with omega 3 and perfect with a bowl of steamed rice.
Soy bean paste is fermented from soybeans. Properly fermented organic soybeans is a good source of plant based protein and vitamin B12 which we normally consume from meat.
Salmon is a good source of protein, which is important for maintaining bone health, preventing muscle loss and helping the body heal and repair. Its rich astaxanthin content may help maintain skin elasticity, reduce the signs of aging and protect the skin against UV damage.
Ingredients:
1 salmon steak (approximately 8″ long and 2″ thick) alternatively you can use salmon fillets
1 tablespoon soy bean paste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon oil
3-4 green onion (more or less based on your preference) we love it so we use more ????

Steamed Salmon with Black Bean Sauce
A steamed filet of salmon in the style of Cantonese Chinese cooking. The fish is first steamed, topped with aromatics, sauce and topped with hot oil to finish. Eat it with a bowl of rice.

Steamed Salmon Chinese Style (Traditional Chinese Cooking)
Two ways to Steam Salmon Chinese Style. First method is to steam salmon with ginger and soy sauce. The second method is to steam salmon with black bean sauce. Two easy ways to enjoy any kind of steamed fish without stressing too much. Other kinds of fish you can use include halibut, turbot, talapia, ling cod and swordfish. Diffrent kinds of fish requires different cooking times. Also, the thickness of fish will determine the amount of cooking time.

Recipe
Chinese Steamed Salmon
First Method
6 tbp. peanut oil (or other cooking oil)
3 tbsp. ligh soy sauce
3 tbsp. dark soy sauce
1/2 cup slivered ginger
Put salmon into a large dish. Add peanut oil, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce
and slivererd ginger. Put dish with salmon in a pan and cover with a lid. Steam salmon for 30 to 35 minutes.
Second Method
Put salmon in a dish. Smother salmon with black bean sauce. If you can't get the jar of black bean sauce, just mix fermented black beans with dark and light soy sauce, You can use other sauces, such as shrimp sauce Chinese oyster sauce. Steaming is an easy Chinese cooking method.
Drizzle some peanut oil over the salmon. Put dish with salmon in a pot. Cover with a lid. Steam salmon for at least 30 minutes.
In the last 5 minutes, garnish with green onions. Cover with a lid to finish steaming for the last 5 minutes. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cans (15.5 ounces each) cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest (from 1 lemon), plus wedges for serving
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 cup chicken broth
4 skinless salmon fillets (4 to 6 ounces each)
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1/2 cup fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium. Add beans, zest, and rosemary and saute until fragrant, 1 minute. Add broth and salmon to skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook until salmon is opaque, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
