1/4 c Onion; Chopped, 1 Sm
2 ea Jalapeno Chiles; *
2 ea Cloves Garlic;Finely Chopped
2 tb Vegetable Oil
30 oz Black Beans; Undrained, 2 Cn
1 ea Chipotle Chile; **
1 ts Red Chiles; Ground
1/2 ts Salt
* The Jalapeno peppers should be seeded, with care, and finely chopped. ** The Chipotle Chile should be one that has been canned in Adobo Sauce and it should be chopped. Cook and stir the onion, jalapeno peppers, and the garlic in the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat until the onion is tender. Stir in the
remaining ingredients and mash the beans. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 15 minutes. Serve.

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 small yellow onion diced
• 3 cloves garlic minced
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves chopped

1️⃣ 00:00:46 - Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the oil and let heat briefly.
2️⃣ 00:00:51 - Add in onions and saute for 5 to 7 minutes until soft.
3️⃣ 00:01:01 - Add in minced garlic, cumin, and cayenne pepper and saute another 60 seconds.

How to make easy delicious black beans *using canned beans*
RECIPE:
1/4 C onion + 1/4C tomato + 1 tablespoon garlic
Cilantro (to taste) or parsley
1/2 teaspoon of cumin (I used a little bit more)
1/2 teaspoon oregano & Salt & pepper
1 teaspoon oil
1 Can of beans (rinsed) + 1 “can” of water

Slow Cooker Refried Black Beans
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound black beans (soaked overnight before starting recipe, see below)
1 large white onion, thick sliced
cooking oil
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 chicken bouillon cubes
2 whole garlic cloves
5 cups water
1/4 cup butter (1/2 a stick)
SLOW COOKER SIZE:
6-quart or larger
INSTRUCTIONS:
Soak the beans overnight in more than enough water to cover.
In the morning, drain the beans and add to the slow cooker.
In a large skillet set to medium high heat, add the cooking oil. Add the thick sliced onion rounds and brown them on both sides until they are really toasty. Add the onions to the slow cooker.
Add the cayenne pepper, black pepper, garlic cloves, chicken bouillon cubes and water. Stir.
Cover and cook on low for 9 hours.
When the cooking time is done, take out at least half of the juices from the beans, and set aside, you can use this if too much liquid was taken out.
You can either put the beans in a blender, mash by hand with a potato masher or use a emulsion blender like I did in my video. If your beans seem too stiff, add some of the reserved liquid.
I did not need to add any salt for my beans, but if you think they need a bit of salt this is the time to add it to taste.
Serve and enjoy!
