RECIPE
2 packages of yeast, or 4 1/2 tsp.
2 1/2 cups warm water
1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix
4 1/2 - 5 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. Salt
6 Tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 cups Powdered sugar
1/2 cup Butter, softened
2 tsp Vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp. half & half or milk
1. Combine the flour, salt, cake mix, and yeast in the bowl of your stand mixer. Add the dough hook attachment to your mixer and slowly add in the warm water. Knead for 7-10 minutes until a smooth dough forms. Add more flour a little at a time if your dough seems too sticky.
2. Oil the bottom and sides of your bowl along with the dough ball and cover with a towel. Place in a warm spot to rise for 1-2 hours.
3. Punch down the dough and flour a clean surface. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the melted 6 tbsp. of butter over the dough. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the dough. Roll up into a tight log. Pinch the seams together.
4. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the log in half. Use your knife to score even sized cinnamon rolls, then cut.
5. Place them on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Let rise for another 30 minutes while your oven preheats to 350° F.
6. After they have rose a second time, place in the oven to bake for 25-30 minutes.
7. Once out of the oven let cool and make the frosting.
8. To make frosting beat the butter until smooth. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until combined and then add in milk or cream. Beat for 2 minutes until you reach a silky smooth consistency.
9. Frost the cinnamon rolls while still warm and eat!

Super moist cinnamon roll cake with cream cheese frosting! Tutorial
Red Velvet Cinnamon Rolls | Delish
This sweet mash-up is hands down the most delicious way to eat cinnamon rolls.
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Butter a 9”x13” pan and set aside.
3. In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Allow to sit and bloom, 10 minutes. Mixture should be foamy.
4. Once yeast is active, add to the bowl of a stand mixer. Add milk, cake mix, flour, and salt. With the dough hook attached, mix on low until dough comes together and starts to pull away from the sides, 5 minutes. (Alternatively, you can mix all ingredients in a large bowl and knead the dough by hand on a well-floured surface).
5. Move dough to a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit until almost doubled in size, about 1 hour.
6. Meanwhile, make filling: In a large bowl, mix together butter, sugars, and cinnamon until well combined.
7. Turn dough onto a floured surface and roll into a large rectangle. Spread filling over the dough and roll up into a long log. Slice into 15 rolls. Place rolls into prepared pan and bake until golden, 18-20 minutes.
8. In a large bowl, make cream cheese icing: Beat together butter, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and milk. Mixture should be pourable. Drizzle icing over rolls and serve immediately.
