How To make Prune Whip Spice Cake with Prune Butter Frosting
2 1/4 c All-purpose flour, sifted
1 1/3 c Sugar
2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1/4 ts Allspice
1/2 c Shortening
1/2 c Prune juice, drained from
-cooked prunes 1/2 c Milk
2 ea Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
Prune butter frosting -(recipe below) Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices into large bowl of electric mixer. Add shortening, prune juice and milk. Beat with electric mixer for 1-1/2 minutes on slow or medium speed. Scrape bowl and beaters; mix well. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat for 1-1/2 minutes more on slow or medium speed. Scrape and mix again. Stir once around bowl with spoon. Pour batter into two 8-inch layer cake pans which have been greased and floured. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost with Prune Butter Frosting. PRUNE BUTTER FROSTING: 6 Tbsp butter or margarine 3 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted 3/4 tsp lemon juice 4 to 4-1/2 Tbsp prune juice 1 tsp grated lemon rind salt, dash 1/2 cup prunes, cut-up, cooked, well-drained 2 Tbsp chopped nuts Cream butter or margarine in large bowl of electric mixer. Add sugar alternately with juices; beat until well blended. Add grated rind and salt. Beat until frosting is of good spreading consistency. Fold in prunes and nuts. Stir and let marinate for at least 30 minutes
Walnuts 80 g
softened butter 80 g
Beat for 5 minutes
Condensed milk at room temperature 150 g
Mascarpone 200 g
Cocoa powder 10 g
Set aside a few spoons for decoration
Eggs 2 pcs
sugar 55 g
A pinch of salt
Vanilla extract ½tsp
vegetable oil 20 g
Milk 35 ml
Flour 55 g
Cocoa powder 14 g
baking powder ⅔tsp
baking pan 15 cm
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes
cut into three pieces
soak in apple juice
Chill for 6 hours
grated chocolate

Old Fashion Prune Cake Recipe
Prune Cake
Cook 1 lb large pkg prunes in water til prunes are soft cook them off.
2 cups flour
¾ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ cup shortening
2 eggs
1 fully packed cup of pitted prunes
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 cup buttermilk
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups of sugar
Put eggs, sugar, shortening, salt and vanilla in bowl mix together then add prunes and mix till prunes are no longer in pieces. Then alternate flour, buttermilk, baking soda and baking powder till well mixed then add pumpkin pie spice.
Cook in 2 round 9 pans or long pan (glass) at 325 degrees metal pans cook at 350 degrees for 60 minutes ore done depending on oven
Icing
Use prunes that are left and some of the juice.
½ stick of margarine,
1 lb powder sugar
1 tsp of vanilla
Mix till the mixture is spreadable.
Add chopped pecans.

If you’re looking for a rich and delicious dessert to put on the table this weekend, this Russian Prune Cake is the perfect thing.
The layers are fluffy, moist, creamy, and studded with sweet prunes.

▶ Ingredients
???????? Cake batter
Sugar - 80g
Butter - 160g
Baking Soda - 5g
Vinegar - 5g
Eggs - 350g
Sugar - 245g
Low Protein Flour - 325g
???????? Bettercreme Filling
Rich's Bettercreme (whipped) - 500g
Prune - 100g

▶Procedure
???????? Cake batter
1.Heat up sugar and butter until brown then add in butter and mix well. Leave aside.
2.Combine baking soda and vinegar.
3.Whisk eggs and sugar until 50% and gradually add in baking soda and vinegar mixture and continue to whisk until fluffy, then fold in Low Protein Flour, lastly pour in sugar and butter mixture and stir till well combined. Leave to rest for 30 mins.
4.Baking Temp: 170˚C Top Heat and 170˚C Bottom Heat.
5.Baking Time: 8 mins.
???????? Bettercreme Filling
1.Whip Rich's Bettercreme until 80% firm peak.
2.Spread the crème on the cake, 3 layers of cream, 4 layers of cake and sprinkle each layer with chopped prune. Lastly, coat the cake with cream and cover with cake crumbs.
