Ingredients:
2 1/2-2 3/4 cups bread flour
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. marjoram
1 tbsp. parsley
4 fresh garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. Fleishmann’s active dry yeast or 2 ¼ tsp.
1 cup hot water 120°
3 tbsp. melted unsalted butter or olive oil
1/8 tsp. each of marjoram basil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. parsley
Directions:
1. Combine 2 cups flour with salt, sugar, basil, marjoram, parsley, minced garlic and yeast.
2. Add hot water and beat until very well combined.
3. Beat in enough flour to make a soft but kneadable dough.
4. Knead 3-5 minutes.
5. Place in a greased bowl.
6. Grease top of dough.
7. Cover with a tea towel, and place in oven that has been heated for exactly one minute.
8. Turn off oven.
9. Let dough rise about 45 minutes.
10. Punch dough down and roll into a rectangle, or three smaller log shapes to braid.
11. Roll up or braid dough from long end.
12. Place on GREASED cookie sheet.
13. Heat oven for exactly one minute.
14. Turn off oven.
15. Allow bread to rise one more time for 30-45 minutes.
16. About 5 minutes before rising time ends, preheat oven to 400°.
17. Leave bread in oven.
18. Bake 15-20 minutes.
19. While bread is baking, combine melted butter, 1/8 tsp. each of marjoram, basil, garlic powder and 1 tsp. parsley.
20. Brush top crust with melted butter mixture after removing from oven.
21. Allow to cool a few minutes before slicing down.

Betty's Crispy & Soft Herbed Garlic French Bread
Betty demonstrates how to make Crispy & Soft Herbed Garlic French Bread. Its tangy and flavorful, soft with a crispy top, and sooooo quick and easy to make!
Crispy & Soft Herbed Garlic French Bread
½ stick butter or margarine, softened to room temperature
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
½ tablespoon fresh minced parsley (Use ½ teaspoon, if you are using dried parsley flakes.)
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1 small loaf of French bread, sliced in about 1-inch slices (If you have a larger amount of bread to make, double the recipe for the spread.)
In a small mixing bowl, combine ¼ cup softened butter or margarine, 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese, ½ tablespoon fresh minced parsley (or ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes), 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/8 teaspoon paprika. Use a fork to blend thoroughly. Spread mixture on one side of each slice of French bread, and place the slices on an ungreased baking pan. Broil in an oven about 6 inches from the heat, leaving the oven door partially open. Broil for about 5 minutes, or until bread is sizzling on top and beginning to brown. Remove pan from oven, and place bread on a serving plate. This is a delightful accompaniment to most meals. It is soft but crispy, and it is bursting with flavor!

My cup measurement :
All purpose flour : 1 cup = 125 grams
Milk/water : 1 cup = 250 ml
Egg substitutes alternative: for one egg :
• 2 tbsp water + 1/2 tsp oil + 1/2 tsp baking powder + 2 tbsp flour. Stir until combined and mix with other ingredients for the dough.
• Flax seeds: 1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 3 tbsp water. Stir and let sit for 15 minutes. (for suitable bread recipe), grain bread.
• 1 tsp baking soda + 1 tbsp white vinegar + 1 tbsp water. Mix into the dough ingredients. (fluffy)
• A half of ripe banana (for suitable flavor)
• ¼ cup of puree fruits (moist): apple, apricot, prunes, avocado, pumpkin (for baking something where the flavor suitable)

Garlic Dinner Rolls (makes 10 pieces)
INGREDIENTS :
1 teaspoon (3g) instant dry yeast = 21g fresh yeast
2 tablespoons (25g) fine granulated sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) warm milk
1 large egg, whisked
250 grams (2 cups) all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons (42g) soft unsalted butter (margarine work too)
3/4 teaspoon (4g) salt
1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) garlic powder (or 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic)
2 tablespoons chopped scallion/parsley
For a larger batch, this recipe might not exactly the same but the result is almost the same as the original garlic bread above.
Garlic Dinner Rolls
2 tsp (7g) instant dry yeast
3-4 tbsp sugar
1 cup (250ml) warm milk. Add a little at a time if you really need more.
2 large eggs, beaten
500g (4 cups) all-purpose flour. per cup = 125 grams.
5 tbsp softened butter/margarine
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder/ 2 tsp minced garlic
chopped scallions
1 egg for egg wash
Note for a double recipe :
Use a bigger bowl to mix the ingredients.
Mix the dough until really smooth and soft, maybe more than 5 minutes.
The second proof after shaping (30 minutes) is important to give the dough expand, relax, and plump.
If your dough is too dry please add milk a little at a time until it is soft and loosens.
The butter/margarine is softened (room temperature) NOT melted.
For this larger batch is better to use Kitchen Aid or mixer with a dough hook, stir by hand is possible but will be hard and tired.

This garlic dinner rolls original recipe makes about 10 pieces of small rolls like mine or less if you want to make it a bigger size. The texture was incredibly soft, fluffy, and very delicious from the garlic, scallions, and parsley.
It looks plump but when you press it it will collapse and spring back into shape.
Serve for dinner, for breakfast, as a sandwich, as snacks make the smaller size as an appetizer.
The baking pan must not be square, just use your favorite baking pan, it can be round, rectangle or baking tray, or bundt pan.
The recipe can be double if you want more. But please consider the amount of salt that you are using.
The dough can be kept in the refrigerator overnight or store in the 'freezer plastic bag' and keep in the freezer for a few weeks. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and about an hour at room temperature before baking time.
