Cheddar Biscuits Recipe
Quick recipe for an amazing cheese appetizer. What not to like to these cheddar biscuits? Buttery, flaky, garlicky and cheesy ... one of the best combinations ever and they do look really appetizing as well.
Ingredients:
Makes about 10-12 biscuits
2 cups (250g) flour
2 1/2 tsp (10g) baking powder
1 tbsp (15g) sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
5 tbsp (70 g) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
3/4 cup (200g) buttermilk, cold
1 cup (100g) matured cheddar cheese, grated
For brushing the tops
2 tbsp (30g) melted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium-large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and garlic powder. Add the butter cubes, and using a pastry cutter or fork cut the butter until the pieces are no bigger than peas.
3. Add the grated cheese and just give a quick stir to combine with the flour mixture. Incorporate the cold buttermilk until just combined, don't overmix.
4. Take large spoons of mixture and with the help of another tablespoon place them on the prepared baking sheet. Optional sprinkle some grated cheese on top of each.
5. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until golden brown. While they bake, prepare the butter mixture. Melt the butter into a small sauce pan, add garlic, parsley and salt and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
6. Brush the tops of the biscuits with butter mixture and serve hot.

Easy Garlic Knots, using a can of biscuits!
Cheese Bombs- 10 Minute Cheese Stuffed Biscuits
Cheese Bombs- 10 Minute Cheese Stuffed Biscuits
Our Cheese Bombs are cheese stuffed biscuits that you can make in about 10 minutes.
We used an easy store bought pre made biscuit that you pop out of a can. You can make your own fresh biscuits, but then it would not be a 10 minute recipe. Feel free to make everything from scratch if you like.
We flattened and stretched each biscuit large enough to hold a 1 inch cube of cheese.
For our cheese, we used fresh buffalo mozzarella. You can use cheddar or any combination of cheese. We like the mozzarella because it has that nice stretchy consistency.
Stuff the cheese into the biscuit and fold the bottoms and pinch to make a good seal.
Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes and then brush with garlic butter and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, keeping a close watch on the biscuits for the last 44-5 minutes. They can burn very quickly if you do not pay attention.
Our garlic butter recipe is simple with 1/2 stick of butter, garlic and dried herbs. In our case we used dried basil.
Again, you can use fresh garlic and fresh herbs, but for this instance, we are trying to keep this at a 10 minute recipe. All fresh ingredients will add to the prep time.
