Betty's Creamy Buttercream Frosting for Daffodil Cake
Betty demonstrates how to make Creamy Buttercream Frosting as an icing for Daffodil Cake, a traditional Southern dessert for Easter dinner. This is a beautiful and tasty frosting that you may use on any cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc.
Creamy Buttercream Frosting for Daffodil Cake
1 stick butter, softened
4 1/3 cups confectioner's sugar (This is the same as powdered sugar or icing sugar.)
1/3 cup cream or milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Place all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Ice cake with a table knife or spreader. For the Daffodil Cake, ice the top first, then place frosting around sides (blending in any excess filling encountered along the way). Delicious! Ingredient: (7 ring mould - 2 pound cake)
Egg white 4pcs अण्डाको सेतो भाग
Sugar (grind in the mixture) 50gm चिनी
Egg yolk 4pcs अण्डाको पँहेलो भाग
Sugar 40gm चिनी
Oil/melted butter 30gm तेल/बटर
Water/milk 30gm पानी/दुध
Vanilla flavour 1cap वनिला
Flour 55gm मैदा
Corn flour 10gm कॉर्न फ्लोर
Cocoa Powder 15gm कोका पाउडर
Salt 1gm नुन
Baking powder 4gm बकिङ पाउडर
Baking soda 1gm बकिङ सोडा
Method:
1. Separate egg yolk from egg white and place in a dry and clean bowl.
2. Whisk it adding sugar in 3 batches until sugar dissolve and it has a stiff peak.
3. In another bowl whisk egg yolk and sugar until sugar dissolved, add water, oil & vanilla flavour and whisk again. Add the mixture of flour, cornflour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder & baking soda and mix thoroughly. (*Shift before mixing)
4. Add egg whites in the egg yolk mixture and mix. And then pour the mixture in egg white and mix thoroughly scraping from the side and below(*Do not overmix).
5. Now pour in a 7 round mould, tap to release air bubble and bake in a pre-heated oven @175°C for about 35-40min. (*Baking time may vary due to oven difference)
