How To make Banana Passover Sponge Cake

7 Eggs
1 c Sugar
3/4 c Cake Meal
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Potato Starch
1 c Chopped Walnuts
1 c Mashed Bananas (2 ripe)
1/2 ts Vanilla
Beat yolks with sugar until creamy. Add themashed bananas, beat well. Whip egg whites until stiff (in different bowl). Add cake meal, potato starch and salt to yolk mixture. Fold in egg whites into this mixture. Add flavoring fold in gently. Bake at 325 F. for an hour

more or less:

. Use an angle food cake pan. Cool upside down for about 30 minutes or until cooled. Cut in half with knife. Ice with real whipped cream or cool whip. Top with bananas and a few walnuts.

How to make a BADASS BANANA CAKE.

I know you can follow a recipe but it's good to see what it's meant to look like along the way. Plus I've picked up some tips for making it easier (and tidier) so I've made a wee video to help you be a baking badass.

This is my all time favourite banana cake recipe.

I stole it from Chelsea Sugar's website, you can find it here:

Ingredients list:

1 cup Chelsea White Sugar or Chelsea Organic Raw Sugar
100g butter (melted)
3 eggs
3 bananas (mashed with a fork)
½ cup low fat milk
1 tsp baking soda
150ml plain or fruit yoghurt (apricot works well)
2 cups plain flour
3 tsp baking powder

Passover-Friendly Chocolate Cake Recipe

This chocolate cake is both dairy-free and flour-free, so it's a great dessert option for a Passover dinner that features meat as the main course. Garnish with fresh raspberries for a pop of brightness and freshness.

Apple Cinnamon Sponge Cake:
Ingredients:
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup potato starch
⅓ cup + 2 tsp of white sugar (separated)
3 eggs separated
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
½ cup apple pie filling
½ cup powdered sugar
1 ½ Tbsp water
Sliced almonds

Orange Sponge Cake:
Ingredients:
2 tsp orange zest (separated)
¼ cup orange juice
¼ cup + 2 Tbsp potato starch
⅓ cup + 2 tsp of white sugar (separated)
3 eggs separated
¼ cup chocolate chips

Chocolate Sponge Cake:
Ingredients:
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup potato starch
⅓ cup + 2 tsp of white sugar (separated)
3 eggs separated
1 tsp lemon juice
½ cup chocolate icing
½ cup whipped cream
Chocolate shavings (optional)
