OLD SCHOOL BUTTERMILK PANCAKES
this is an awesome buttermilk pancake recipe, please try it for your family and friends,
so light and fluffy
VERY SIMPLE RECIPE:
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, beat together buttermilk, milk, eggs and melted butter. Keep the two mixtures separate until you are ready to cook.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. You can flick water across the surface and if it beads up and sizzles, it's ready!
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, using a wooden spoon or fork to blend. Stir until it's just blended together. Do not over stir! Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/2 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

This Is Why IHOP's Pancakes Are So Delicious
If a place is going to call itself the International House of Pancakes, those pancakes better be pretty good, right? IHOP, an acronym the chain didn't fully embrace until 15 years after it first opened, serves all kinds of diner fare, but the pancakes of its name are the obvious main event.
And, clearly, they're doing something right. The chain sells an astonishing 700 million pancakes each year. Plus some of the menu items that aren't pancakes, like scrambled eggs and omelets, have pancake batter in them. So what makes the pancakes so special at the place with the blue roof? Here's why IHOP's pancakes are so delicious.
