4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
16 ounces semisweet chocolate
melted & cooled
1/2 stick unsalted butter :
softened
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 tablespoon strong brewed espresso
1/2 cup cake flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon double-acting baking powder
2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts
In the bowl of an electric mixer beat the eggs and the sugar for ?20 4 to 6 minutes, or until the mixture is thick and pale, add melted chocolate, the butter, the vanilla, the espresso, the flour, the salt and the baking powder, and beat the mixture on ?20 the lowest setting until it is combined well. Add the chocolate ?20 chips and the walnuts and beat the dough until it is combined well. In a sheet of parchment paper, form the dough into a log, ?20 4 inches in diameter, wrap it in wax paper, and chill it for 3 ?20 hours, or until it is firm. Cut the log into 1-inch-thick rounds, arrange the rounds 2 inches? apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper, and bake them ?20 in batches in the middle of a preheated 350F oven for 15 minutes,? or until the tops are shiny and cracked slightly. (The cookies ?20 will be very soft.) Transfer the baking sheets to racks and let ?20 the cookies cool completely before removing them from the sheets.? (The cookies will firm up as they cool.) Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

These chewy and buttery chocolate chip cookies are loaded with melty chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. Every bite is a perfect balance of crunch with light and tender crumb. A perfect addition to your cookie box for the holidays!
You’ll need:
• 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour (*see notes below)
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
• 1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
• 1 large egg (room temperature)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted & cooled)
• ½ cup chopped toasted walnuts
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Makes 16 delicious cookies
* Uses 2” cookie scoop in the video
:: HELPFUL HINTS ::
* Measure your flour correctly. Adding too much flour will result to crumbly texture when baked. Fluff the flour in the container before scooping it out. Lightly spoon the flour directly into the measuring cup until it mounds well above the top of the measuring cup. Using the back of the dinner knife (non-serrated side is facing the flour), sweep the knife over the top of the cup to remove the excess flour.
* Let the cookies rest in the baking pan for 3-5 minutes. Transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
