Black Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies Bake with me! Gluten Free
Black walnut chocolate chip cookies are a delicious treat that is easy to make and perfect for those with gluten sensitivities. With Gram's recipe, baking these cookies is a breeze.
To begin, preheat your oven to 375°F. In a small mixing bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups of gluten-free flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Mix well and set aside.
In another bowl, cream 1 cup of softened butter (2 sticks) and 3/4 cup of white sugar until light and fluffy. Add 3/4 cup of brown sugar and beat well. Then add in 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and mix until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until the dough is evenly combined. Fold in 1 cup of black walnuts and 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
These cookies are the perfect combination of nutty and sweet, and the gluten-free flour makes them an inclusive dessert option for those with dietary restrictions. Happy baking!
