How To make Caramel Glazed Apple Cake
BELLE BESTOR:
2 c Flour
4 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter
1 lg Egg; lightly beaten
1 c Milk
TOPPING:
3 c Baking apples; approx, peel
- and sliced 1 c Sugar
1 ts Ground cinnamon
2 ts Cornstarch
1/2 c Butter; melted
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar, then cut in the
butter. Beat in the egg and milk. 2. 375 oven. Line a 9x13" pan with a single piece of foil, allowing the
edges of the foil to hang over the edges of the pan. Lightly butter the foil. 3. Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Arrange the apple slices of the
batter in rows, overlapping them slightly and alternating the direction of the rows. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch and sprinkle this mixture over the apples. Drizzle the melted butter over all. 4. Bake for 50 minutes, or until the apples are nicely browned and glazed
and a cake tester comes out clean. Remove cake to a wire rack and cool it in the pan. 5. To serve, hold the foil edges and gently lift the cake from the pan.
Transfer the cake to a serving tray and gently peel away the foil. Cut the cake into 4" strips between the apple rows. Can substitute firm ripe peaches, nectarine, or pears for the apples. "Special Occasions" John Hadamuscin -----

Caramel Apple Cake

Ingredients
Cake:
Nonstick cooking spray or unsalted butter, for greasing the pan
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pan
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 medium apples (I used a mix of green and Pink Lady apples)
1 1/2 cups vegetable or canola oil
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large eggs
Caramel Sauce:
One 11-ounce package caramels, preferably Kraft Caramels
1/4 cup whole milk
Directions
For the cake: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Generously grease and flour a 9- or 10-inch Bundt pan.
Mix together the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside. Peel, core and dice 3 cups apples. Set aside.
Blend the oil, sugars and vanilla in a bowl with a handheld electric mixer or in a stand mixer until well mixed. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the dry ingredients until just incorporated. The batter will be very thick. Fold in the apple pieces. Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes, then remove the cake from the pan to a cooling rack.
For the caramel sauce: Meanwhile, heat the caramels and milk in a saucepan on medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until the caramels are completely melted and the sauce is smooth, about 2 minutes. Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then drizzle over the cake just before serving.

Apple Bundt Cake with Bourbon Caramel Glaze | FUELING A SOUTHERN SOUL

Ingredients
Apple Cake
1 1/2 Cups Oil (vegetable or canola)
2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Vanilla
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
3 Cups Flour
4 Cups Grated Apples (about 3 -4 apples)
Bourbon Caramel Glaze
1 Stick Butter
2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Tablespoon Bourbon
Directions
Bourbon Caramel Sauce
In a medium saucepan, add in all ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir continuously to make sure it doesn't burn.
When the mixture comes to a boil, set timer for 5 minutes and whisk continuously.
Let cool in refrigerator while you make and bake the apple cake. Caramel will start to thicken as it cools.
Apple Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, add in oil, sugar, eggs, salt, baking soda, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whisk well until everything is combined.
To grate the apples, core and add to a food processor with the grater attachment. Peeling the apples isn't necessary. *
Add in 1 cup of flour and mix until combined. Add in half of the apples and mix until combined. Add in another cup of flour and mix. Finally add in the last of the apples, mix and then the last cup of flour. The batter will be thick.
Pour batter into a well greased bundt pan and place in the oven. Bake for 1 and 1/2 hours.
Remove from oven and insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean then the cake is finished. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan then remove and let finish cooling on a baking rack.
Once the apple cake is completely cooled, add the bourbon caramel sauce to the top and enjoy!
Notes
If you prefer not to add Bourbon to your glaze, just omit entirely. Add in 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla total and cook according to instructions above.

CAKE
2 cups (450g) sugar
1 cups (240g) oil
3 eggs room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups (384g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon spice
1/2 tsp salt
4 medium apples peeled and diced
9Inch Bundt Pan Grease with butter or oil
350*F (180*C) for 45-50 min until toothpick come clean
cool to room temperature
BUTTER GLAZE
1/2 cup (1 stick) (113g) butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup heavy cream
cool to room temperature
