How To make Beef Stew in A Crockpot
Ingredients

pound
blade simmering steak
1/3
cup
flour
1
teaspoon
salt
3/4
teaspoon
pepper
1
teaspoon
garlic salt
2
cup
water mixed with 2 beef OXO envelopes
1/2
teaspoon
worcestershire sauce
6
each
carrots, peeled, cut in 1 inch pieces
6
each
yukon gold potatoes, peeled, quartered
1
each
onion, chopped
2
each
celery stalks, cut in 2 inch pieces
1/4
cup
water
6
tablespoon
bisto gravy maker or cornstarch
Directions:
Remove fat from meat and discard. Cut meat away from bone and into 1 1/2 inch pieces. (Freeze the bone to use later for stock.) Place meat chunks in crockpot. Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt together and sprinkle over meat. Stir to coat meat. Add 2 cups of water mixed with OXO, and worcestershire sauce. Add prepared vegetables. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours, or on high for 4 to 6 hours. About 1/2 hour before the stew has finished cooking, add the Bisto mixed with the 1/4 cup of water. (This will thicken stew.) Stir stew to mix, and serve. Great with homemade bread.
Serves 5.
Note: For a 5.5 quart size crockpot. If you use a smaller one, you might have to scale down the recipe.

INGREDIENTS for the Classic Beef Stew Recipe:
►6 oz thick sliced bacon chopped into 1/4 wide strips
►2 - 2 1/2 lbs boneless beef chuck or good quality stew meat trimmed and cut into 1 pieces
►Salt and ground black pepper to taste
►1/4 cup all-purpose flour
►2 cups good red wine such as Soft Red or Pinot Noir (see note above)
►1 lb mushrooms thickly sliced
►4 large carrots peeled and cut into 1/2 thick pieces
►1 medium yellow onion diced
►4 garlic cloves chopped
►1 Tbsp tomato paste
►4 cups low sodium beef broth or beef stock
►2 bay leaves
►1 tsp dried thyme
►1 lb small potatoes new potatoes, or fingerling, halved or quartered

Slow Cooker Beef Stew Recipe - How to Make Flavorful Beef Stew in the Slow cooker
This is the best ever beef stew made in the slow cooker. The beef is packed with all the right flavors, seared and slow cooked in a delicious flavor packed sauce. This beef stew recipe is a delicious comforting dish.
INGREDIENTS
2.5 to 3LBS Chuck Roast ( i used about 2.7 lbs)
Salt and pepper to taste ( i used 1/2 Tbs Salt and 2 tsp black pepper for my meat)
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chilli powder
Olive oil, about 2 Tbs. Use more if needed
1 large onion, minced
3 stalks celery, cut up
3 to 4 large carrots, cut up
2 cups cut up carrots
1 large red bell pepper
5 cloves garlic
1/3 cup fresh chopped parsley
salt and pepper to season veggies
2 Tbs butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
6 TBS tomato paste
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbs better than bouillon beef base
1/4 cup red wine
1 Tbs brown sugar
Fresh Rosemary , about 4 sprigs
Fresh Thyme
14 0z can sweet peas
