How To make Beef Stew/Crockpot
Ingredients
2 1/2
pound
stew beef, cut in 2 inch cubes
8
each
carrots, cut diagonally in 2 inch pieces
3
each
idaho potatoes, chunked
2
each
onions (spanish or vidalia)
1
each
italian stewed tomatoes (14-1/2 oz can)
2
tablespoon
flour
1
seasoned pepper, to taste
1/4
teaspoon
thyme
1/4
teaspoon
basil
1/4
teaspoon
oregano
1
tablespoon
worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Place half of veggies in the pot, add beef cubes. Mix flour, pepper and spices and sprinkle over beef. Add rest of veggies and top with the stewed tomatoes and their juice. Sprinkle with worcestershire sauce. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours, or until meat is very tender and veggies are done. Serve with large macaroni cooked separately. Leftovers can be refrigerated all in the same pot and reheated in bowls in the microwave at 50% power.

2 pounds (907 g) Beef Stew meat , cut into 1-inch pieces
1 (1 medium) onion , chopped
4 cloves (4 cloves) garlic , minced
4 (4 ) carrots , cut into bite sized pieces
1 pound (454 g) potatoes , cut into bite sized pieces
2 stalks (2 stalks) celery , chopped
2 cups (480 ml) beef broth
14 ounces (397 g) tomato sauce (about 1 3/4 cups)
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)
1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried herbs (thyme, oregano, basil)
1 Tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt , or to taste
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) black pepper
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) corn starch
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) water

Beef Stew | Beef Stew Slow Cooker - Here's another Slow Cooker / Crock Pot video that is right in line with this winter weather. If your looking for a warm and filling meal then you've come to the right video. This is an excellent dinner idea for the whole family. This Beef and Potato Stew can be more like a traditional Stew by adding Carrots and Peas if you so desire.
Another name for this dish is Guisado de Carne or Guisado (Spanish)
Ingredients
3 cups Beef Broth
2.5 lbs Chuck Roast
1/2 cup Onion
1-3 Bay leafs
3 Large Potatoes
1 Garlic Clove
1 can Fire Roasted Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt and Pepper
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1/4 cup Flour
1 tsp Paprika
4 tbsp Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
***** NOTE *****
For a thicker stew, make a slurry, 2 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp butter (softened). Mix well and add to stew the last 15 mins.

3 1/2 lbs boneless beef chuck roast
2 tsp coarse or flaky salt
1 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 large onion
1 celery stick
5 cloves of garlic
2 Tbsp tomato paste
6 Tbsp all-purpose flour
4 1/2 cups beef broth
1 1/2 cups dry red wine
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 dried bay leaf
1 1/2 lbs Russet potatoes
2 large carrots
salt & pepper to taste
garnish with chopped fresh parsley
6-quart Dutch oven pot
*preheat oven to 325 degrees F and slow cook for 3 hours or until meat is tender
