Coffee & Baileys: How to make Baileys Bling
Ka-ching… It’s the Baileys Bling.
- 50ml Baileys Original - 50ml Espresso
Combine both ingredients in a cocktail shaker, then add in a handful of ice, put the lid on tight and shake hard for 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass that’s been rimmed with edible gold powder (easy to find online). It looks even better in a black glass.

Copycat Bailey's Irish Cream - how to make it at home
This replaces an earlier version, made a little better with better ingredients. This is a smooth, slightly sweet drink with a delicate flavor of whiskey. Note: I live near Costco where I can buy a 1.75L bottle of Kirkland Signature brand Irish Cream Liqueur (supposedly made by the Bailey's company) for about $15. It's good, but when I want something special to share with friends who come to visit around the holidays, I make my own.

Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur | Food Channel L Recipes
You will be surprised how easy it is to prepare homemade irish cream liqueur! It's a great culinary Christmas gift!
Food channel L - a new recipe every odd day of the month! Recipes for delicious and homemade food!
Ingredients for 600 ml:
250 ml heavy cream 200 ml Irish whiskey ½ can sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp instant coffee 1 tsp vanilla extract Almond essence 30 g cocoa 50 g brown sugar Demerara 1 pinch of cinnamon
So I decided to do some research and experiment until I put together a recipe that tastes almost exactly like Bailey’s, but at a much more #affordable price!
After some clever number crunching and calculation, I figured you can make $90 worth of Bailey’s for around $40!
Now I’m no mathemequation expert, but that sounds a lot more affordable!
And it’s so easy, takes less than 10 minutes from start to finish, and almost zero skill!!
So give it a try! Feel free to increase or decrease the amounts of anything to your particular flavor preference! And try adding things to spice it up! Pumpkin spice for an autumn twist on Baileys. A little white chocolate syrup to give it a new flavor profile. A touch of almond extract to give it some nuttiness. The possibilities are pretty endless!
Drink it straight or on the rocks, mix it with your coffee, use it to make the Baileys Irish Cake, use it to make ICB shots (IYKYK)
Either way, enjoy responsibly, and don’t drink and drive! Cheers!!
