Spread on cake. NOTE: For holiday gift giving, I like to bake this recipe in four miniature loaf pans, wrap in plastic wrap, and tie with a bow. This is nice with a cup of hot tea. Happy cooking. What’s the only thing better than fluffy walnut cake? Walnut cake with caramel sauce! Walnut cake has been one of my favorite cakes since I can remember. I’ve had this recipe in my head for quite a while, so when it came the time to try it, it turned out just how I wanted it on the first try! I guess it was meant to be! And, even though this cake is delicious in itself, the caramel sauce makes everything better! This one goes, without a doubt, to my “things I want to have with tea by the fireplace” club!
