Guinness Irish Soda Bread☘️
Guinness Irish Soda Bread #quickbread #stpatricksday 2-3/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats plus extra for sprinkling on top 1-1/2 teaspoons Salt 2-1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda (Bread Soda) Whisk all the ingredients together. Then add in: 1 cup Buttermilk (8-ounces) 4 tablespoons melted Kerrygold Irish Butter (if you can find it) 2 tablespoons Black Treacle (Molasses) 12-ounce Guinness Stout Stir together to combine. Butter a 9.5 x 5 inch Loaf pan. Pour into a pan and smooth top. Using a serrated knife, cut down the center of the loaf 1-3/4 deep or so to allow the bread to bake evenly. Sprinkle top with the extra oats (about 1 to 2 tablespoons). Bake at 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean or crumby. Cool in the loaf pan 5 to 10 minutes then turn out onto a wire rack to allow the crust to form on the outside and let cool completely. Enjoy slices with more Irish butter, jam, Irish stew or make a sandwich with toasted slices
