Parmesan Garlic Breadsticks
Making bread is so much fun. It’s a relaxing, enjoyable experience that also makes the house smell great. If you’ve never made bread, this is a great recipe to get you started. These soft breadsticks are great accompaniment to any soup casserole or Italian dish, but they are also great as just a snack. They store well, but you probably won’t have any left to eat on another day.
Dough:
4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T sugar
1 T INSTANT yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water (between 105 and 115°F)
Topping:
2 T Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic salt/garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. parsley
In a large bowl or in a stand mixer add 2 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon INSTANT yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir to combine. Start the mixer with the dough hook attached. Slowly add the warm water. While the mixer is still running, slowly add the remaining two cups of floor. The dough should pull away from from the sides of the bowl and make a ball. Once this happens, continue mixing at a higher speed for two minutes to kneed the dough. If you are mixing by hand, remove the dough and place it on a flour dusted countertop. I kneed for five minutes. Place the dough in a warm place to rise. Cover with a clean towel or with plastic wrap. The dough needs to double in volume. This will take 30-60 minutes.
When the dough has doubled in size, it is time to punch it down. Place your fist in the center of the dough and press it to the bottom. Tear the door into four equal portions. Place three of them back into the bowl and cover with your towel or plastic wrap to keep the door from drying out. With the remaining quarter of the dough break it into four more pieces. Roll the dough into long thing pieces. Place them on a greased cookie sheet. Continue doing this with all of the bread though. Set both trays in a warm place where the dog can rise again. This will take at least 30 minutes.
After the dough has risen in size preheat the oven to 425°F sure the oven is preheated before baking the bread sticks for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and butter the tops using a pastry brush. Sprinkle with parsley, Parmesan and garlic salt/powder.
These are best warm. To store, place cooled breadsticks in a sealed container.

Little Caesars Crazy Bread (Copy Cat Recipe!)
One of my favourite things to pick up from Little Caesars is their Crazy Bread. It's light, fluffy, and drenched in the most amazing garlic butter with tons of parmesan. This is precisely why I had to crack the code so I could make it at home all the time! :D
This recipe is an exact dupe for the original. I use bougie parmigiano reggiano instead of the powdered stuff, but you can go either way. So easy to prepare, and so delicious! Perfect dunked into a big bowl of fresh marinara.

RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
For Dough
1 tsp, Sugar
1 Envelope, Instant Yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
4 cups, Bread Flour
1.5 tsp, Salt
1 3/4 cups, warm Water
2 tbsp, Olive Oil
For Topping
¼ tsp, Garlic Powder
½ tsp, Salt
4 tbsp, Butter
½ cup, finely grated Parmesan Cheese
METHOD
In a bowl, add water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to stand for 5 minutes, or until yeast bubbles up.
Add flour, and salt to a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment, and combine.
Add Olive Oil to Yeast Mixture, and slowly stream into stand mixer until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl to form a ball. If the mixture is too wet, add a tbsp of flour at a time until this happens.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap, and allow to rest in a warm place until dough doubles in volume (approximately 1.5 hours)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Divide dough in two, and then cut ito eight pieces. Using your hands roll each piece into a cylinder. iUsing a sharp paring knife, cut the dough into 8 equal 10” bread sticks. Gently shape the dough so that they look like breadsticks, and transfer to a lined baking sheet coated in cooking spray. Make sure to slightly space them apart.
Bake for 7-8 minutes, until just slightly golden.
Melt Butter with Salt and Garlic Powder. Brush over warm breadsticks, and top with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan Cheese. Enjoy! :)
