How To make Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/4 c Firmly-packed brown sugar
3/4 c Golden crisco shortening
1 ts Vanilla
1 ts Almond extract
1 Egg
1 3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Salt
3/4 ts Baking soda
1 c Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c Maraschino cherries; well
-drained = and coarsely chopped 1. Pre-heat oven to 375F (190C). Place sheets of foil on
countertop for cooling cookies. 2. Combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla in
large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture. 3. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed
mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and cherries. 4. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls (15 mL) of dough 2 inches (5
cm) apart onto ungreased baking sheet. 5. Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375F (190C) for 8
to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely. Makes About 3 Dozen Cookies -----

What you will need
3 1/4 cups AP Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp corn starch
1cup real sweet cream butter room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs room temperature
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 cups semi sweet morsels
1 cup maraschino cherries cut in half and patted dry really well
Enjoy!....bake at 350F

How to make chocolate chip cookies with maraschino cherries in them!
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup well drained chopped maraschino cherries
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, milk and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl (flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda).
Gradually add the dry ingredient mix to the creamed mixture and stir until well combined.
Stir in chocolate chips, nuts (if using) and cherries.
Place a couple of inches apart on a greased cookie sheet (or covered with silicone mat or parchment paper).
Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
