How To make Chocolate Cherry Drop Cookies
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Margarine or butter;
-softened 1 Egg
2 oz Unsweetened chocolate
Melted and cooled 1/3 c Buttermilk; milk or water
1 ts Vanilla
1 3/4 c All-purpose flour *
Or whole wheat flour 1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2 c Cut-up candied or maraschino
Cherries Chocolate frosting 2 oz Unsweetened chocolate
2 tb Margarine or butter
3 tb Water
2 c Powdered sugar; about
* if using self-rising flour --- omit Baking soda and salt. Recipe by: Betty Crocker's Cookbook Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix, sugar, margarine, egg, chocolate, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt and cherries. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart into ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched; cool. Frost with Chocolate Frosting. ABOUT 4-1/2 DOZEN COOKIES; 95 CALORIES PER COOKIE. CHOCOLATE FROSTING Heat chocolate and margarine over low heat until melted; remove from heat. Stir in water and powdered sugar until smooth. -----

Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal & Dried Cherry Cookies | Price Chopper Cooking How-To
Ingredients
2 cups PICS all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon PICS baking soda
1/2 teaspoon PICS baking powder
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® salt
1 cup PICS granulated sugar
1 cup PICS unsalted butter (2 sticks), softened
1/2 cup PICS light brown sugar
2 PICS large eggs
1 teaspoon McCormick® vanilla extract
2 cups PICS rolled oats
1-1/2 cups PICS semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Nonstick PICS cooking spray
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. In medium bowl, with whisk, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In large bowl, with mixer on medium speed, beat sugars and butter 2 to 3 minutes or until creamy, scraping bowl occasionally with rubber spatula. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each addition until well combined; scrape bowl. Add vanilla extract and beat until combined. Reduce speed to low, and gradually add flour mixture, beating until well combined; scrape bowl. Stir in oats, morsels, cherries and nuts.
Lightly spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Using 2 small spoons, drop about 2 tablespoons cookie dough 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake cookies 16 to 18 minutes or until edges of cookies are golden brown and centers are slightly soft. Cool cookies on cookie sheet 1 minute, then transfer to wire rack. Repeat with remaining cookie dough.

Cookie Recipe ( Crispy melt away cookie BASE dough) :
- 750 gr soft room temp Butter ( 6 2/3 sticks )
- 300 gr Powdered Sugar ( 2 1/2 cups)
- 3 room temp X Large Egg Whites
- 900 gr All purpose Flour ( 6 cups + 1/2 cup)
- 3 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt

Divide the dough into 5 equal portions and with each dough make 5 different cookies:
■ Vanilla Butter Cookies:
Leave the first dough as is.
You'll need a piping bag and a tip of your choice.
■ Linzer Cookies:
to the second cookie dough, add:
- 60 gr Almond Flour (1/2 cup)
- 40 gr All Purpose Flour ( 4 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp Almond Extract
- Jam of your choice
■ Gingerbread *Style* Cookies:
to the third cookie dough, add:
- 2 3/4 tsp Ginger
- 3 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 or 3 tsp Cocoa Powder
- 40 gr Flour ( 4 tbsp)
For stronger gingerbread flavor add more ginger.
■ Sugar Cookies:
to the fourth cookie dough, add:
- 50 gr All Purpose Flour ( 5 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
■ Chocolate Sugar Cookies:
to the fifth cookie dough, add:
- 60 gr Sweetened Cocoa Powder ( 7 1/2 tbsp) ( Bloom the cocoa with 5 tbsp hot Milk) If you're using UNsweetened cocoa powder you may have to add 1 tbsp more icing sugar.
- 20 gr All Purpose Flour ( 2 tbsp)
- Melted good quality chocolate to fill the cookies

The cherries and nuts gives the cookie a little bit of crunch. This cookies have a great texture and flavor and you could even add in some more chopped nuts if you want more of a nutty flavor.
Ingredients:-
Maida - 200 g
Baking powder - ½ tsp
Baking soda - ¼ tsp
Salt - ¼ tsp
Butter - 30 g
Sugar - 100 g
Egg - 1
Orange juice - 1 tbsp
Milk - ¼ cup
Chopped cherries - 140 g
Chopped cashews
and almonds - 30 g
For icing:-
Powdered sugar - ½ cup
Orange juice - 2 tbsp
Butter - 1 tsp
Orange food colour - 1 drop
Recipe notes:-
* Drop dough on to cookie sheet about 2 inches apart to prevent cookies from baking together when dough spreads.
