How To make Buttermilk Pancakes
2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups buttermilk
1 tablespoon sugar
2 whole egg
1/4 cup canola oil
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into large bowl. Combine eggs, buttermilk and oil in medium bowl. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until moistened. Let stand 10 minutes. Preheat griddle over medium heat, grease lightly. Pour about 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle for each pancake. Cook until tops are bubbly and appear dry. Turn and cook until browned, about 2 minutes.
Substitute :
8 Tbsp SACO cultured Buttermilk Blend and 1-3/4 Cups Water can be substituted for the 2 Cups Buttermilk. Blend Mix and Lukewarm Water in a separate container before adding to beaten eggs and oil.

After a lot of experimenting with pancake recipes, I finally got one that will give you the yummy, fluffy pancakes we all crave in the morning.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of flour (210g)
3 tablespoons of sugar (48g)
2 teaspoons of baking powder (9g)
1 teaspoon of salt (5g)
1 teaspoon of baking soda (5g)
2 eggs (Room Temperature)
1 cup of milk (240ml)
2 tablespoons of melted butter (28g)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (5ml)
*This recipe makes about 8-10 pancakes.

2 cups (480ml) buttermilk
2 eggs
3 tbsp (45g) butter , melted

Perfect Buttermilk Pancakes - from scratch
How to make perfect buttermilk pancakes from scratch! Light, fluffy and delicious pancakes that are just as good if not better than you would get at the local diner or pancake house!
What you'll need:
1-1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk**
1 egg
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
In a large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. Set aside. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, water and oil. Mix well and add to dry ingredients. Stir just until wet and dry ingredients are incorporated. Some lumps should remain. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before using.
On a griddle preheated over medium heat (or electric griddle set to 350*), lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Pour 1/2 cup of batter in center and let cook until bubbles form on the top and pop and the edges turn dull. Flip and cook for another 1.5-2 minutes. Continue with remaining batter. Makes 6 (6) pancakes. Enjoy!
**for this recipe, I prefer to make my own buttermilk. To 1 cup regular 2% milk, add 1 Tbsp white vinegar and stir to mix. The vinegar does not curdle the milk or make cheese so it's fine.
