This lemony pasta with peas and ricotta is so easy to make yet so incredibly delicious! Here spaghetti is tossed with fresh mint leaves, green peas, lemon juice and covered with light, creamy ricotta sauce. This is an easy dinner recipe the whole family will love!

How to Make Pasta Piselle (with Peas)

Recipe: How to Make Pasta with Peas (Pasta Piselle)
½ onion chopped
1 large clove garlic minced
Handful of fresh parsley chopped
¼ cup oil of choice (you can also use bacon or pancetta chopped)
1 small can of tomato sauce
1 small can of peas
Salt and pepper to taste
½ lb. pasta – I use Ditalini or small shells
Grated Pecorino Romano, Locatelli, or whatever you prefer
If substituting bacon or pancetta for the oil, render until cooked. Remove bacon/pancetta and use drippings to sauté onion, garlic, and parsley. If using oil, sauté onion, garlic, and parsley until translucent (5-7 minutes). Then put the meat back in the pot and add the tomato sauce and peas. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook pasta to your taste. I like it al dente so I cook 7 minutes. Save about 1 cup of pasta water and add the sauce. Add less pasta water if you prefer a thicker sauce. Serve and top with grated cheese.

Strichetti, a butterfly shape, is slightly quicker to make than the 'ngana caplet, the dialect name for finti cappelletti, empty cappelletti. It's a pretty pasta to make! 2 small or 1 large onion, 2 celery sticks, one carrot, diced finely
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 large Italian sausages, 100% meat, no rusk, crumbled
1 glass (around 100ml) white wine
400ml tomato passata
250g peas
freshly ground black pepper if your sausages are plain
salt (the quantity depends on the saltiness of your sausages)

SUPER CREAMY PEAS AND PASTA ITALIAN RECIPE
Peas and Pasta (Pasta e Piselli) Italian Recipe is one of the family's favorite meal in Italy. It is very simple and easy to make for less than 30 minutes.It requires only 5 main ingredients and can use either fresh or convenient frozen green peas.

HOW TO MAKE PEAS AND PASTA RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
*400 g. green peas
*2 medium sized eggs
*100 g. grated cheese (Pecorino Romano)
*1 medium onion
*400 g. pasta (mezze penne rigate type pasta)
*3-4 tbsp. olive oil
*pepper
*salt
METHODS:
-Cut onion into pieces
-Heat 3-4 tbsps. olive oil in a medium sized pan
-Add chopped onions,saute until it appears transparent
-Add the green peas
-Prepare a hot water ready and keep it on the side
-Put a hot water in sauteed green peas as it will be used to soften the peas
-In my case,I used a small blender/grinder to grind well the cooked green peas
-Use strainer to drain the peas,then set aside the skin from the creamy paste
-Just leave the creamy paste to make the sauce later
-In a small bowl,beat 2 eggs
-Put the grated Pecorino Romano cheese and mix these two very well.Set aside.
-Heat the green peas creamy paste in a pan
-Then add the penne pasta.Cook into prepared creamy paste sauce
-Add some hot water if necessary to cook the pasta.
-Add salt
-Once pasta is cooked into sauce,add the cheese and egg mixture.
-Add a pinch of pepper.
And its ready to serve!!Enjoy!!
