How To make Moong Samosa (Mung Bean Pastry)
Ghee, as necessary 1 tb Onion, chopped
1 pn Asafetida
1 ts Black mustard seeds
1/2 ts Ginger, grated
1 pn Garam masala
1 pn Green mango powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Cayenne
4 tb Mung beans, presoaked
1 tb Cilantro, chopped
1 ea Recipe pastry dough
Water to bind Heat 2 tb ghee in a skillet over low heat. Saute the onion, asafetida, mustard seeds & ginger until the onion is golden brown. Stir in garam masala, green mango powder, salt & cayenne. Mix thoroughly. Add beans, cover the pan & cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes until the beans are tender. Stir in cilantro & remove from heat. Divide into 8 portions. Brush one half moon of pastry with water & fold into a cone. Fill each cone with 1 portion of filling & seal the top. Repeat with remaining pastry. Heat enough ghee in a wok or large skillet to deep-fry 4 samosas at once. When very hot, deep-fry the samosas for a few minutes until golden-brown on both sides. Remove from heat & drain well before serving.

MOONG DAAL SAMOSAS!!! - EASIEST RECIPE
Ingredients:
oil 2 tbsps
onion 1 med chopped
carrot chopped 1/2 cup
capsicum 1/2 cup
zeera(cumin seeds ) 1tbsp
salt 1/2 tsp
kaari patta 7-8 leaves
hari mirch chopped 2-3
sabut moong daal ( whole green lentil) 1 -1/2 cup
laal mirch powder 2 tsp
haldee 1/2 tsp
dhania powder 1tbsp
lemon juice 2 tsp
garam masala powder 1 tsp
lehsan paste 1 tsp
maida + water 2 tbsp
samosa sheets
hara dhania 2 tbsp
Directions:
-in wok add cooking oil ,cumin seeds,curry leaves,green chilies and mix.
-add whole green lentil and mix well.
-add all spices along with veggies and stir.
-let it cool.
-make paste with the all purpose flour and water.
-take samosa sheets add prepared filling fold over the sides roll up and apply the paste.
-prepare the other samosas.
- in wok heat oil fry samosas on low flame until golden brown
-serve hot with chutney.

Kasoori methi - 1 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tsp
Amchoor Powder - 3 tsp
Black Salt - 2 tsp
Besan - ¾ cup
Oil - 3 tbsp
Cashew - 10
Hing - 1 pinch
Sugar - 4 tsp
Salt - 1/4
Raisin - 10
Oil to deep fry
