How To make Maraschino Hearts
1/4 c Shortening
2 tb Butter
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/3 c Flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
3/4 ts Salt
1/2 c Chocolate chips
24 Maraschino cherries; drained
Recipe by: Tampa Bay Online Cream shortening, butter and sugar, beat in egg. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture; mix well. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate about 2 hours. Roll dough to 3/8-inch thickness; cut with 2 1/2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Push in center with thumb; place about six chocolate chips in center of each thumbprint. Bake at 376 F. 6 to 8 minutes or until baked. Transfer to cooling rack; press one maraschino into melted chocolate thumbprint. Cool until chocolate is set. Makes 18 to 24 cookies. -----

BRIOCHE BREAD DOUGH
0.85 cup (200 g) milk (Warm)
2 tsp (10 g) salt
4 cups (500 g) bread flour
2 1/4 tsp (7 g) active dry yeast (1 US Packet 7g | 1 EU Packet 8g)
1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
2 eggs (Beaten)
2 tsp (10 g) Rose Water
10 1/2 Tbsp (150 g) butter (Softened)
10 oz (300 g) Maraschino Cherries (Sliced in two)
1 egg yolk + 1 tsp (5 g) milk (Egg wash)
ROSE WATER SYRUP
1/2 cup (100 g) water
1/3 cup (70 g) sugar
2 Tbsp (30 g) Rose Water

How to Make (EASY!) Heart Macarons | RECIPE
Simple macaron tutorial! These taste like raspberries and are filled with chocolate ganache and raspberry jam. Shape them like hearts for a Valentine's Day treat!
Ingredients
Macarons:
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
3/4 cup almond flour (not almond meal)
2 large egg whites
pinch cream of tartar
¼ cup superfine sugar
1 tbsp fresh raspberry puree, strained
pink gel food coloring
Dark Chocolate Ganache:
8 oz dark chocolate, melted
pinch salt
¾ cup whipping cream, hot
Raspberry jam
