America's wettest city: Hilo - Big Island, HAWAII (+ Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea)
Hilo is the largest city on the Big Island, Hawaii. Also, the city with the highest amount of rain in the United States. And driving on the Big Island can be very fun. In this vlog, you'll see our coast-to-coast drive - from Kailua-Kona to Hilo - and the amazing volcanoes along the road - Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. When we arrive in Hilo we are surprised by amazing waterfalls, like the Akaka Falls, and the exuberant green nature.
When you visit Hilo, chances are you'll experience some rain, but that doesn't mean you cannot have fun. There are so many things to do! For drier weather, check out Hawaii's island west coast, especially Kona and the Kohala Coast:
As the name suggests, Hawaii Big Island is the biggest island in the USA.

► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ????
