How To make Gourmet Beef Tenderloins
4 Beef tenderloin steaks:
- 1-1/2 to 2" thick - about 6-8 oz each
HERBED GARLIC CHEESE TOPPING:
7 oz Herb & garlic cream cheese
2 tb Half & half
1/2 ts Coarsely ground black pepper
2 1/2 oz Sliced mushrooms -- drained
Heat grill. When ready to grill, place steaks on gas grill over medium heat or charcoal grill 4-6" from medium coals. Cook 14-25 minutes depending on desired doneness, turning once. In small saucepan, combine cheese spread, half & half and pepper; blend well. Cook over medium heat until cheese melts and mix is smooth, stirring constantly. Stir in mushrooms until heated, stirring constantly. Serve over steaks.

Who doesn't love a juicy, slightly charred steak, served up with a mountain of chips (or saute potatoes if you're feeling posh) and some nice green veg!
It's one of my favourite weekend dinners, and it's made even better with the addition of one of these delicious sauces (ok, one is a garlic butter, but that works fab too!).
Most of these sauces can be made while your steak is resting, so your steak will be perfectly rested and ready to serve when that sauce is ready.

Fillet Mignon Recipe - How to make perfect Fillet Mignon Steaks

This Fillet Mignon Recipe will produce a perfectly cooked Fillet that will rival any high end restaurants Fillet. Impress your friends or make a perfect romantic meal for your spouse or significant other.
Here's the recipe for Fillet Mignon...
Ingredients:
- Fillet Mignon steaks cut 1.5 to 2.0 thick
- Unsalted butter
- Whole Garlic cloves
- Fresh Rosemary
- Fresh Thyme
- Salt and Pepper
- Olive Oil
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 450F. Salt and pepper both sides of your steaks liberally. Add olive oil to a hot pan. Place the steaks into the hot oil. Cook for 2 minutes and then turn. After the steaks have been turned add the butter, garlic cloves, and Rosemary and Thyme.
Cook for 2 minutes on the second side. After the steaks have cooked on the second side place the entire pan in the oven that is at 450F. For Rare to Medium rare, cook the steaks for 2 minutes in the oven.
Remove the steaks and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting into. Next enjoy your perfect Fillet Mignon steaks and enjoy the envy of your friends and family.
