How To make Dutch Apple Pancake
BATTER:
4 Eggs
1/2 c Flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
1/8 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
2 tb Margarine; melted
FILLING:
2 tb Margarine
1 lg Apple, tart; pared &
-sliced 1/4" thick 1/2 ts Cinnamon
GLAZE:
8 pk Equal
1/2 ts Cinnamon
3 tb ;Water, boiling
Combine batter ingredients in blender or food processor; mix until smooth. Let rest 30 minutes. For filling, melt margarine in a 10 inch oven-proof skillet. Add apple slices, sprinkle with cinnamon and toss over low heat for 3 minutes. Pour batter over apples and place in preheated 425 F. oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Blend glaze ingredients and dribble over top of pancake. Cut into 4 wedges to serve. Calories per serving: 229 "Traditional" calories: 450 Diabetic exchange: 1 medium fat meat, bread, 1 fruit, 1 fat

Recipe Details
Yield: 4 Servings
The spectacular presentation of Dutch Apple Pancakes with Warm Cinnamon-Infused Maple Syrup will delight the eye. These are a sumptuous, delicious treat.
Ingredients
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 Granny smith apples
1/2 fresh lemon
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 cinnamon stick
Directions
1.Crack 6 large eggs into a bowl. Whisk together milk & eggs.
2.Mix in flour, sugar & salt. Let stand for 30 minutes.
3.Slice apples into 1/4-inch slices.
4.Squeeze lemon onto apples to prevent discoloration.
5.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F & place an oven-safe nonstick skillet in the oven to melt 1/2 cup butter.
6.Remove the skillet from the oven once butter has melted and the pan is hot. Turn pan to distribute butter.
7.Pour pancake mixture into the hot pan & bake for 20 minutes.
8.In another nonstick skillet, melt brown sugar with remaining butter and sauté apples in the brown sugar mix.
9.Cook apples until they are soft & caramelized.
10.In a small nonstick pan, heat maple syrup with cinnamon stick, to infuse flavor.
11.Remove the pancake from the oven and pour the caramelized apple on top of the pancakes.
12.Serve with whipped cream & syrup.

Here's the recipe:
In a 12 inch cast iron pan
4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
4 tablespoons butter
12 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Bake at 450 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and top with pure maple syrup. Enjoy!

►3 large eggs, room temperature (put in warm water 2 minutes)
►1/2 cup all-purpose flour
►1/2 cup whole milk, room temperature (microwaved 15 seconds)
►1 Tbsp sugar
►1 tsp vanilla extract
►Pinch of salt
►Pinch of nutmeg, optional
►3 Tbsp unsalted butter

Dutch Baby Pancake Recipe
APPLE DUTCH BABY PANCAKE rises before your eyes!
This version is made in a blender for quick and easy.
A Dutch baby pancake (must be a rather big baby!) is also referred to as a German pancake. It’s traditionally baked in a cast iron pan and although spectacular out of the oven due to its puffed up appearance, it quickly deflates into a pancake. This recipe uses granny Smith apples with brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon. For convenience I used a thick bottomed non stick pan, but if you have a good cast iron pan you will get even better results.
