Today's menu is a tasty pot of curry beef with potatoes. This Curry beef is full of flavours, it can be served with white rice, bread, dumplings,roti or eaten by itself.

Ingredients:
2 lbs- Beef ( I cleaned my beef with lime and vinegar)
2 small - Irish Potatoes
2 sprigs-thyme
1 stalk - Scallion
2 small Sweet peppers/ Bell peppers
4 cloves garlic, diced
2 small Onions
2 Carrots
1 whole Scotch Bonnet pepper & 1/2 chopped
small piece of ginger
1 pack- Betapac Curry Powder
1 tablespoon- Meat powered season
2 tablespoons -Maggi All-purpose powered seasoning
1/2 teaspoon-Black pepper
5-6 Pimento berries
Add salt to taste
Cooking oil
3 cups of water

In this video, I'll show you an easy way to make this dish with S&B Golden Curry (or any curry roux brand) that'll taste delicious and authentic, as well as a few extra special ingredients that I like to add to really amp up the flavour into a deep, delicious curry.

INGREDIENTS (for 8-10 servings):
► Large onions (2)
► Medium carrots (2)
► Potatoes (3) - Yukon Gold work great
► Garlic (2 cloves)
► Butter (1 tbsp)
► Water or stock (5 cups)
► Cubed beef or protein alternative (roughly 1 lb)
► Japanese curry roux (1 box, or roughly 8 oz/220g)
(Popular curry brands: Golden Curry, Vermont Curry, Java Curry, Torokeru Curry, Kokumaro Curry)
Optional ingredients:
► Worcestershire sauce (1 tbsp)
► Ketchup (1 tbsp)
► Honey (1 tbsp)
► Red apple (1) - Fuji or Honeycrisp work great
PREP:
► Peel and cut potatoes into big bite-sized chunks
► Soak potato chunks in bowl of water for 15 mins
► Peel and cut carrots into diagonal chunks
► Slice onions into half-inch wide slices
► Mince garlic
► Pat dry and salt beef cubes
► (Optional) Peel and grate apple using a fine grater
COOK:
► Pre-heat pot with cooking oil over medium heat
► Add beef to pot and lightly sear for 2 minutes until sides are browned
► Remove beef from pot into a bowl/plate
► Add onions and saute for 8 minutes until caramelized and translucent
► Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds
► Mix in carrots and potatoes, saute for another minute
► Add cooked beef chunks back to pot, and add 5 cups of water/stock
► (Optional) Add grated apple, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and honey
► Stir, cover with a lid, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
► Once pot comes to boil, check potatoes for doneness by piercing with a stick
► Filter out any scum/foam using a strainer
► Turn off heat, and mix in curry roux to pot, ensuring all blocks are fully dissolved
► Bring pot to medium-low heat, simmer for 15 minutes until sauce is thickened
SERVE:
► Serve with a bowl or plate of rice and enjoy!
► Refrigerate any leftovers to re-heat another time (Japanese curry can typically last 2-3 days in fridge)

Red Beef Baffad Curry | Goan homestyle recipe | Kravings
My granny would make this Beef and a Chicken Red Curry Baffad curry all the time. I never learned how to make it from her but years ago found a recipe scribbled by my Mom is one of her many many books and when I tried it, memories of my granny came back!
Here are the ingredients and steps to make this recipe!
Beef Baffad Red Curry
Ingredients
Masala Paste
8 Red Kashmiri Chillies
2 inch ball of tamarind soaked in 1 cup hot water
1/4 cup Ginger
1/4 cup Garlic
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp black Peppercorns
2 inch stick Cinnamon
2 Cardamoms
1/2 tsp Cloves
1 tsp of Turmeric
Curry
2.2 lbs – 1 kg Beef cubes
1 cup cubed Potatoes
1.5 cups finely diced Onions
1 tbsp sliced green chillies
1.5 cup diced Tomatoes
1/2 Bullion Stock cube 50 gms
1 cup of water
2 tbsps vinegar
Salt to taste
Instructions
Soak the chillies in hot water for 30 mins to overnight
Soak the tamarind for 30 mins
In a food processor add the chillies, tamarind, ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, peppercorns,, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves & turmeric
Add water a little at a time till smooth
In a sauce pan add some oil and add the potatoes and cook till half done and keep aside
Add the onion and green chillies
Add the tomatoes, cover and cook till the tomatoes are mushy
Add the ground masala and cook
Remove and keep aside
Add the beef cubes and allow to brown
Add the onion, tomato and ground paste back in
Add the stock cube and 1 cup of water
Add the potatoes back in, and salt to taste and cook for 10 – 15 mins till the beef is tender
Add the vinegar, stir and it’s ready to serve

BEEF BONE WITH BREAD FRUIT CURRY / IN TAMIL
In this video we will see how to make Beef Bone With Bread Fruit curry. This recipe is traditionally from srilankan Muslims . Tasty and flavorful dish can goes very well with plain rice, rotis & crispy roasted bread.
Ingredients
500g beef bones ( for more taste add more beef bones )
500g bread fruit ( eera palakai )
2 onions
3 medium tomatoes
4-5 green chillies
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves (for garnish )
3 tbsp coriander powder
1-1/2 tsp plain chilli powder
3 tsp black pepper powder
2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1-1/2 tbsp of ginger, garlic paste
Thick coconut milk (add little less for a cup)
For tempering
Half tsp cummin seed
Half tsp fenugreek seeds
3 -4 cardamom pods
3 cloves
Piece of cinnamon
Piece of rampe leaf ( optional )
Special tip - cook this curry in a low flame until beef bones cooked completely.
