Fudgy Chocolate Chili Brownies Recipe | The Brownies that Bite Back!
These spicy chocolate brownies display the perfect way chocolate and chili combine! The spicy burn and sweet chocolate make it an enjoyable and undeniably striking snack.
Easy to make as well, with straightforward steps, these brownies are more than worth the make. Enjoy!
Preferably with a tall glass of fire-extinguishing milk.
Ingredients
55 gr chocolate
40 gr cocoa powder
90 gr butter
2 eggs
130 gr sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
45 gr flour
and chili peppers to taste
Recipe
1. Prepare the baking pan for the brownies by lining it with butter and then covering it with parchment paper. Place butter on the parchment paper as well to further prevent sticking.
2. Melt chocolate and butter combined with chopped up chili inside a heat-proof glass bowl above a pan filled with water (bain marie method).
3. Take melted chocolate and butter mixture off the heat, and whisk in cocoa powder until there are no lumps remaining.
4. Set aside the whole thing to cool.
5. Crack eggs into a mixing bowl.
6. Add vanilla extract, salt, and sugar.
7. Immediately after, begin mixing with a hand mixer/whisk by hand for 5 - 6 minutes, until the eggs have gained volume and are a pale yellow in color. They also leave a brief trail when lifted before sinking back in.
8. Pour in the cooled chocolate butter mixture from earlier, and mix again until homogenous.
9. Put away the hand mixer/whisk, and sift in the all purpose flour. Gently fold it in to combine, so as not to deflate the eggs. Combine until everything is well mixed, make sure there are no lumps of flour remaining.
10. Add toppings as desired here! Nuts, chocolate chips, more chili peppers, etc. Just fold them in gently as well.
11. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkling more toppings on it if desired.
12. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-50 minutes, top and bottom heat. For cakier brownies, bake for longer.
13. Once brownies are done baking, leave them to cool for at least a while, before cutting or serving them.
14. The brownies are ready to be enjoyed!
