How To make Chocolate Strawberry Scone Cake
2 1/2 c Flour
1/4 c Sugar
4 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
2/3 c Butter or margarine; room
-temp. 2/3 c Milk
2 Eggs
1 pk Semisweet chocolate chips;
-(6 oz) 1 c Whipping cream
2 Baskets strawberries
Stemmed and sliced In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. In a small bowl, combine milk, 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk. Mix into dry ingredients JUST until moistened. Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead lightly several times, then bring dough together to form a ball. Divide in half; pat each half into a circle 8-inches in diameter. Place one circle on greased baking sheet; cover evenly with chocolate chips. Top with remaining circle; pressing lightly to seal edges. Beat remaining egg white. Brush top of scone cake with egg white. Sprinkle generously with additional sugar. With a sharp knife, slice halfway through top layer to form six wedges. Bake in a preheated 425` oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until golden and springy to the touch. Transfer to a rack to cool slightly. Whip cream, add 1 cup of the berries. Sweeten to taste. Serve wedges of warm scone cake with remaining berries and strawberry whipped cream. -----

Ingredients
Scones
3 cups (300 g) all-purpose flour
¼ cup (50 g) sugar
1 Tbsp (15 g) baking powder
¼ tsp (1 g) salt
1 Tbsp (6 g) finely grated lemon zest
½ cup (115 g) cool unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
½ cup (125 ml) whipping cream
¼ cup (60 ml) 2% milk, plus extra for brushing
1 large egg
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
1 cup (160 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
Glaze
1 cup (130 g) icing sugar, sifted
1 ½ (22 ml) Tbsp lemon juice
Directions
Scones
1. Preheat the oven to 375 F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl. Stir in the lemon zest. Cut in the butter until the mixture is rough and crumbly but still small pieces of butter are visible.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the cream, milk, egg and vanilla together. Add this to the flour mixture and stir to just bring the dough together, turning out onto a work surface to complete bringing it together with your hands. Flatten the dough out and press the cranberries into the dough, folding it over and flattening it out a few times to incorporate the cranberries.
4. Shape the dough into a disc about 10-inches across. Cut the disc into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking tray, leaving a few inches between them. Brush the scones with a little milk and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the scones are lightly browned on top. Cool completely before glazing.
Glaze
1. For the glaze, whisk the icing sugar and lemon juice together and drizzle over the scones using the whisk or a fork. Let the glaze set for an hour before serving.
2. The scones are best enjoyed the day they are baked.

Strawberries and Cream Scones Recipe | The Sweetest Journey
How to make soft and fluffy cream scones with fresh strawberries.
Ingredients:
3 ¾ Cups Bread Flour (450g)
½ Cup Sugar (95g)
3 Teaspoons Baking Powder (15g)
1 Teaspoon Salt (6g)
2 1/4 Cups Heavy Cream, Cold (480ml)
2 Cups Chopped Strawberries
1 Cup Confectioners’ Sugar (120g)
1-2 Tablespoons Water (15-30ml)
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the bread flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add 2 cups of heavy cream and mix until dough holds shape. If too dry, gradually add 1/4 cup of remaining cream until dough is soft. Fold in the strawberries.
2. On a lightly floured surface, knead and shape the dough into a disk, adding a bit of flour if needed. The disk should be about 10 inches in diameter. Cut the dough into 8 equal sized wedges.
3. Place the wedges on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Let the scones cool in the pans for a few minutes, then remove to wire racks and let cool completely.
4. Whisk together the confectioners sugar and water until sugar dissolves but glaze is not too runny. Spoon or drizzle glaze over scones. Let the glaze solidify.
