Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff with Mashed Potatoes #shorts #food

❂ Ingredients:
Beef Stroganoff:
- 1.2 lb Sirloin Steak
- Olive Oil
- 1 Large Onion sliced
- 1 lb Bella mushrooms, sliced (not too thin)
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Tbsp Flour
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth , preferably salt reduced
- 1 Tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Mashed Potatoes:
- 4 Large Potatoes
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- Salt
- Chopped chives, for garnish
❂ Cooking process:
⁃ Cut the steaks about 3/4cm / 1/3” thick.
⁃ Heat oil in a large pan over high heat and fry the meat on both sides until golden brown.
- Remove meat from pan.
⁃ In the same pan turn heat down to medium high. Add butter, melt. Then add onions, cook for 1 minute, then add mushrooms.
⁃ Cook until golden, then add garlic.
⁃ Add flour, cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
⁃ Add the broth and mix, then add heavy cream and stir
⁃ Then add sour cream, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Stir until incorporated.
⁃ Bring to simmer ,then reduce heat to medium low. Once it thickens to the consistency of pouring cream (3 - 5 minutes), adjust salt and pepper to taste.
⁃ Add beef back in (including plate juices). Simmer for 1 minute, then remove from stove immediately.
⁃ Serve over mashed potato, sprinkled with chives. Enjoy!????

Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe
This is my really simple Beef Stroganoff recipe. Beef Stroganoff is a classic dinner that Chris and I have been making for each other for years, and my recipe is super simple but delicious, creamy and and feels like a real treat! Perfect for date night.
You can serve with rice or pasta. This will make a really delicious and impressive dinner.

Ingredients for the Beef Stroganoff:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 onion peeled and finely sliced
7 oz (200g) baby chestnut mushrooms thickly sliced
14 oz (400g) fillet or ribeye steak sliced into strips around 1cm thick
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp brandy (optional)
1 cup (240ml) double (heavy) cream
2/3 cup (160ml) sour cream
1/4 tsp paprika

Beef stroganoff 
Ingredients
- 600g beef fillet, sliced thin (rump will also work well)
- 1 brown onion, sliced thin lengthways
- 200g button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp grapeseed oil
- 50g butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 400ml beef stock
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles to serve
Method
1. In a large frying pan, heat the oil and seal your beef in batches until they have good colour.
2. Once all the beef is sealed off, remove from the frypan and set aside.
3. Add the onions to the pan and sauté until they have some colour and start to soften.
4. Add the mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Next, add the flour and stir well. Once all the flour is stirred through, pour in the beef stock and mix until you don't have any lumps.
6. Cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce is nice and thick.
7. At the Worcestershire sauce, mustard and sour cream and mix well.
8. Add the beef back to the pan and stir through.
9. Serve with buttered egg noodles and enjoy!
