How To make Beef Stroganoff For 1
1/2 lb Beef chuck steak or roast
1 tb Butter or margarine
1/2 tb Salad oil
1/8 lb Mushrooms, sliced
2 tb Onion, finely chopped
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 ds Paprika
1 ds Pepper
1/4 c Sour cream
Chopped parsley, sprinkle Hot cooked noodles or rice Discard bone and fat from meat and cut into thin, bite-size strips. Heat 1/2 tb of the butter with the oil in frying pan over medium-high heat. Add
mushrooms and onion and cook, stirring until golden. Lift out and set aside. Add remaining 1/2 tb of butter to pan. Add beef strips and cook over high heat, turning meat and shaking pan, just until browned. Remove pan from heat, stir in reserved mushroom-onion mixture, salt, Worcestershire, paprika, pepper and sour cream. Return pan to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, just until sauce is heated through--do not boil. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve over noodles or rice. Jamie's Quick Beef Stroganoff
Jamie's back with this incredible beef stroganoff recipe. Prime cuts of sliced steak in a delicious creamy yogurt and mushroom sauce livened up with an onion pickle and a dash of brandy. An really quick and tasty dish for all the family.
This easy recipe is from Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals television series - first aired on Channel 4 in 2012. If you're in the UK or Ireland you can watch the whole series right here:
Read the full recipe on page 62 of Jamie's 15 Minute Meals book or take a look at the ingredient list below for the basics:
Rice
1 mug (300g) of 10 minute wholegrain or basmati rice
1/2 s bunch of fresh thyme
200g baby spinach
Pickle
2 small red onions
1 handful of gherkins
1 bunch of fresh flat-leaf parsley
Stroganoff
300g mixed mushrooms olive oil
3 cloves of garlic
2x 200g sirloin steaks, fat removed
1 heaped tsp sweet paprika
1 lemon
1 swig of brandy
4 heaped tbsp fat-free natural yoghurt
1 swig of semi-skimmed milk

One Pot Beef Stroganoff
One Pot Beef Stroganoff is a simple weeknight meal. With mushrooms and beef in a creamy rich sauce with egg noodles, this dreamy dish is packed full of flavor and yumminess.

One-Pot Ground Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. of olive oil
2 cups of mushrooms
1/2 cup of onions
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 lb of ground beef
2 tsp of paprika
4 cups of beef stock
8 oz of egg noodles
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 Tbsp. of cornstarch slurry
parsley for garnish
salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large pot, heat olive oil. Add mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Add the onions and garlic. Cook until onions are translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until brown. Stir in the paprika. Add beef stock and egg noodles. Give it a stir and cover. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Lower the heat, add the sour cream and cornstarch slurry. Stir until thickened.

Beef stroganoff 
Ingredients
- 600g beef fillet, sliced thin (rump will also work well)
- 1 brown onion, sliced thin lengthways
- 200g button mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp grapeseed oil
- 50g butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 400ml beef stock
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles to serve
Method
1. In a large frying pan, heat the oil and seal your beef in batches until they have good colour.
2. Once all the beef is sealed off, remove from the frypan and set aside.
3. Add the onions to the pan and sauté until they have some colour and start to soften.
4. Add the mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Next, add the flour and stir well. Once all the flour is stirred through, pour in the beef stock and mix until you don't have any lumps.
6. Cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce is nice and thick.
7. At the Worcestershire sauce, mustard and sour cream and mix well.
8. Add the beef back to the pan and stir through.
9. Serve with buttered egg noodles and enjoy!

Beef stroganoff (also known as beef Stroganov) is a famous Russian dish of sauted onions and mushrooms with good portion of beef cuts, cooked in a rich beef broth and has a nice touch of sour cream. One of the best comfort food you can try.

Recipe
Ingredients:
1-pound (450g) Sirloin steak sliced into strips
1 large Onion, chopped
250g (9oz) Mushrooms, sliced
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
3 tablespoons (45g) Butter
2 tablespoons Oil
2 tablespoons Flour
2 cups (480ml) Beef broth
1/2 tablespoon Mustard
1 cup (225g) Sour cream
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Chives
Pasta for serving
Directions:
1. Cut the meat into stripes, season with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet heat oil, add beef strips and cook until brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. If your skillet to small, cook in two batches. Remove from the pan and set aside.
3. Reduce the heat to medium. Add to the same pan butter, chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, until soft. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute more.
4. Add flour and cook for 1 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour in the broth, stir and scrape the bottom of the pan. Add the cooked beef and bring to a simmer. Reduce to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Temper the sour cream: pour few tablespoons of the hot sauce to the sour cream and stir until combined. Pour back to the pan. Add mustard, season with salt and pepper, stir. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, until slightly thickens. Turn the heat off, add chopped chives and stir.
6. Serve with noodles/pasta or rice.
Notes:
• Instead of sirloin you can use tenderloin or scotch fillet
