Here’s the recipe for:
German Apple ???? Pancake ????
16 tablespoons butter ????
1 cup coconut sugar ????
10-12 large Apples cored and sliced 1/8 inch thick ????
20 large eggs ????
4 cups all-purpose flour ????
4 cups almond milk or grass-fed milk????
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ????
1 teaspoon five spice????
Pinch of coarse salt ????
????Step 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
????Step 2: Cut your apples and put them to the side.
????Step 3: Melt your butter in your Iron skillet; once melted, dump in coconut sugar and mix well.
????Step 4: Pour in apples and cook until soft. Don’t overcook.
????Step 5: While apples are cooking, mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
????Step 6: Wisk eggs in a separate bowl, then pour eggs and milk into dry ingredients. Mix well.
????Step 7: Pour batter directly over the apples in the hot iron skillet. Do not mix!
????Step 8: Place skillet into your oven for about 20-30 minutes. We are just looking for the pancake to become golden brown and bake until firm. Insert a toothpick to see if it comes out clean. It’s ready! ????
Serve with Sausages, Whipped Cream, and or Powder Sugar!

German apple pancakes
INGREDIENTS3/4 cup all-purpose flour1 tbsp granulated sugar4 tbsp cinnamon sugar1/4 tsp salt3/4 cup milk1/4 cup yogurt3 large eggs1 tsp pure vanilla extract1/4 tsp cinnamon4 tbsp unsalted butter4 tart cooking applesPowdered sugar for dusting
METHOD
In medium bowl whisk flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, and salt to combine. Add in milk, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla.Heat butter in the pan over medium heat until melted. Add apples and cinnamon-sugar to a pan. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes.Pour batter over apples and immediately place pan in the oven. Bake at 425°F/220°C for 15 minutes. Cool pan for about 15 minutes, then carefully transfer pancake onto the serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar.

Traditional German apple pancakes, what’s not to love? Whether you are a fan of thick or thin pancakes, there is always a place for apples in them. These traditional thin pancakes (Apfelpfannkuchen) are made just the way Oma made them…well almost. There’s a smidgen of whole wheat flour and just a little vanilla sugar. The rest remains the same — a simple pancake recipe with flour, milk, eggs and a pinch of salt. A foolproof combination for a delicious breakfast, brunch or anytime of day sort of treat.
INGREDIENTS:
For the pancakes:
200 g all-purpose flour
70 g whole wheat flour
500 ml whole milk
1 x 8g package organic vanilla sugar
Pinch of sea salt
5 eggs, lightly beaten
Ghee, for greasing the cooking surface
For the apples:
2 large apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (ca. 500 g)
2 tablespoons raw cane sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (ceylon)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
