Designing an Old-Fashioned Cottage Garden
An old-fashioned cottage garden is a magical place. It is beautiful and practical, wild and cultivated. It is a place of amazing smells and delicious food. I’ve been dreaming of the moment I could put in my long-term cottage garden, filled with culinary herbs, medicinal herbs, cosmetic herbs, cut flowers, veggies, and quiet sitting places, for years! And here it is!

How to Raise a Healthy Vegeterian Child
Today, with more parents opting to raise their children as vegetarians, many are wondering if it’s possible for a meatless diet to provide all the necessary nutrition required for growing children. The American Academy of Pediatrics says with a little nutritional “know how,” planning ahead, and variety, young vegetarians can be as strong and grow as fast as their carnivorous friends!

I never had limes when I needed them (UNTIL NOW!)
When limes are in season, it's time to stock up so you have them whenever you need them! These fermented limes taste just as zingy as the day I bought them, and since my lime tree isn't too happy here in North Idaho, this is the new preservation method that lets me indulge my love of fresh limes all year long!
