Sweet and Spicy Baked Chicken Wings Recipe
Hi Guys, today I’ll show you how to make Sweet and Spicy Baked Chicken Wings. PRINT RECIPE: These wings are crispy and spicy with a hint of sweetness. There’s no messy deep frying and tons of oil.

I’m using 1.5 pounds/680g of chicken wings - feel free to double or triple the recipe. In a bowl, add the chicken wings, salt, ground black pepper ,garlic powder and oil. Mix really well. Place the chicken on an oiled baking sheet. When the wings are almost done, make the sweet and spicy sauce.
In a saucepan, mix ground ginger powder, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Sriracha or your favorite chili sauce, honey and butter. Bring this to a boil and turn off the heat.
Place the cooked chicken wings in the sauce and toss in the saucepan. Heat the sauce for about 2 minutes coating the wings until it almost caramelizes on the wings. If you’re using a large quantity of chicken, make the sauce in a large pan so it’s easier to mix the wings.

INGREDIENTS
- 10 - 12 chicken wings
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1/4 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper or any pepper of choice
- Salt to taste

Fast and Easy recipe for Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
For frying wings:
1 lb Chicken Wings - 6 Whole wings cut into winglets and drummettes
Oil for frying
For Sauce:
1 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp minced Garlic
1 small Onion - diced finely
1/3 cup Tomato Ketchup
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp Hot Sauce (Sriracha) or your favorite hot sauce
1 Tsp Chicken stock powder - Stock cubes or liquid stock works too
1 Tsp Sugar - For additional sweetness (optional)
1 Tbsp Slurry - 1 Tbsp Cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water
Serve remaining sauce as a dipping sauce

Hot and Sweet Chicken | Spicy and Sweet Chicken Recipe | Hot and Sweet Chicken Restaurant Style | Chinese Hot and Sweet Chicken | Hot and Sweet Chicken Recipe
Ingredients for Hot and Sweet Chicken:
- Boneless Chicken cut into strips- 300 gms
(All measurements using US spoon measures)
1st Marinade :
- Salt- 1/4 tsp
- Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Dark Soy Sauce- 1/4 tsp
2nd Marinade/Batter:
- All Purpose Flour (Maida)- 2 tbsp
- Cornflour- 2 tbsp
- Baking Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Salt- 1/4 tsp
- Egg white- 1
- Chilled water- 3 tbsp
Hot & Sweet Sauce :
- Tomato Ketchup- 4 tbsp
- Red Chilli Sauce- 2 tbsp
- White Vinegar- 2 tsp
- Honey- 2 tsp
- Dark Soy Sauce- 1/2 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Ginger chopped- 2 tsp
- Garlic chopped- 3 tsp
- Spring onion white, chopped - 4 tsp
- Spring onion greens, chopped for garnish- 2 tbsp
- Refined oil- 1.5 tbsp + oil for deep frying
- Water after adding sauce- 2 tbsp
Preparation:
- Wash and leave the chicken pieces/fillets to drain.
- Pat dry if required and cut them into 2 inch strips.
- Add the ingredients for the 1st marinade and set aside for 20mins.
- Add all the ingredients for the Hot & Sweet sauce in a small bowl and give a mix. Set aside for use later.
- Chop the ginger, garlic, spring onion white and green. Set aside.
- Add all the ingredients for the 2nd marinade/batter to the marinated chicken and mix well.
Process:
- Heat oil for deep frying in a skillet or wok or kadai.
- Once the oil is medium hot, take battered chicken strips one at a time and drop them in oil side by side to not crowd the pan.
- Fry the chicken strips on medium heat, turning & frying the pieces for 5-6 mins till golden in colour. Take it out & repeat the same with the next batch.
- Now take a wok or kadai and add 1.5 tbsp oil.
- Keep it on high heat and add the chopped garlic. Give a stir and then add the chopped ginger. Give a stir again and then add the chopped spring onion whites. Stir fry on high heat for 30 secs and then add the hot & sweet sauce. Mix and continue to fry on high heat for another 30 secs till the sauce thickens. Add 2 tbsp water and continue to cook it on high heat for another 1 min.
- Now add the fried chicken strips, give a mix and continue to stir fry to coat the chicken strips well with the sauce. This should take around 2 mins.
- Garnish with chopped spring onion greens. Toss it well and serve hot.

Sweet and Spicy Korean Chicken - 15 Minute Recipe
A little bit spicy and a little bit sweet. This Korean chicken dish is one I grew up on. My mother always added potatoes and chiles but you can add in whatever you like. This brings me to the point of how versatile this dish is. Don't like heat? Don't like sweet? You can add in or scale back each ingredient to adjust this to your taste. In the end, it's still succulent, savory and delicious. Added bonus? The entire dish can be prepared in just 15 minutes!

Ingredients
1 tb Korean red pepper paste
1 ts toasted sesame oil
1 ts honey
2 cloves minced garlic
1 ts grated ginger
2 chopped chicken quarters or breasts
Instructions
In a medium sized bowl, combine the pepper paste, sesame oil, honey, garlic and ginger.
Massage the chicken into the sauce/marinade. Let sit for 15 minutes on the counter.
In a frying pan glazed with ½ tb sesame oil, cook the marinated chicken.
Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
