How To make Sinigang Na Bangus (Milkfish In Sour Broth)
1 1/2 lb Bangus (milkfish)
-or white fish, dressed 2 c Water
3 md Tomatoes, sliced
1 md Onion, sliced
6 Pods green sampaloc
-(tamarind) [available as -powdered packages] 1 cn Banana heart, draine
2 c Green beans,
-cut diagonally in h 1 c Spinach leaves (or
-mustard greens or -watercress) 1 ts Salt
1 tb Patis (fish sauce)
1. Slice fish and cut into 4-6 pieces. Salt all over.
2. Boil water and tamarind pods until pods are tender. Remove tamari mash
and strain back into the boiling water. (optional) 3. Add tomatoes, onions and green beans to boiling mixture and cook 1
minutes or until vegetables are almost cooked. Add fish, banana heart and patis. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 3-5 minutes. Remo from heat, add spinach leaves, and let stand for 5 minutes. 4. Serve with bagoong or patis (fish sauce).

1 (40g) pack Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix (Original)
1 bunch fresh kangkong leaves
12 pieces sitaw (snake beans), cut into 2 inch pieces
6 to 8 pieces okra
2 pieces long green pepper (siling pansigang)
1 medium tomato, wedged
1 medium yellow onion wedged
2 ½ tablespoons fish sauce
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 quarts water

It is most often associated with tamarind,
although it can use other sour fruits
and leaves as the souring agent
Ingredients:
2 mediums sized bangus
4 ½ cups water
2 pcs tomatoes
2 pcs small onions
6 pcs okra
8 pcs Fresh tamarind fruit
3 pcs long chili
1 bunch String beans
1 bunch water spinach
1 pc egg plant
1 pcs radish
1.boil the tamarind fruit for 3 minutes, extract the juice and set aside.
2.In the same casserole, put the tomatoes, onions and salt then boil for 5 minutes.
3.add the tamarind juice and milk fish. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Add the green chili and vegetables.
5.Simmer for 1 minute.
Serve hot!
