How To make Russian Beef Stroganoff with Coke
1 1/2 lb Chuck steak, OR boneless
- round steak 3 tb Flour
1 ts Salt
2 tb Oil, or shortening
1/2 c Onion, finely chopped
1 md Clove garlic, minced
1/2 c COCA-COLA
1/4 c Water
2 tb Flour
1/2 c Water
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
2 oz Mushrooms, with liquid,
- (1-2 oz can) 1 c Sour cream
2 tb Parsley, minced
Mashed potatoes, noodles, - OR rice, cooked and hot Cut beef into 1/2-inch strips, put in a plastic bag with 3 tablespoons of flour and the salt. Shake until the meat is evenly coated. In a heavy skillet or Dutch oven, heat oil/shortening, add the meat strips and brown slowly, stirring often. Add onion, garlic, Coca-Cola, and 1/4 cup of water, mix well. Cover and simmer 30 to 45 minutes or until the meat is fork-tender. In a bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons of flour with the 1/2 cup of water until smooth. Stir into the meat along with the Worcestershire sauce and the undrained mushrooms. Stir and cook until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. (If making ahead for reheating later, do not add the sour cream now. Reheat, then complete the recipe directions.) Stir in the sour cream and heat gently just until the gravy simmers. Sprinkle with parsley and serve over potatoes, noodles, or rice. Makes 6 servings or 3 cups.

Today I was quartering a chicken and found large masses of cancer in the chicken breasts. I have never seen this in chicken meat before. I have heard of cancer in pork meat but never seen it in chicken before. This is an example of why you should quarter your own chickens because you can see everything and discard the meat instead of just cutting around it. The grocery store refunded me and gave me a new chicken that was fine. In all my years first time seeing this. Let me know in comments if you have ever seen this before. #shorts

Ingredients:
250 grams Fettuccine
200 grams Mushroom (sliced)
Butter
Olive Oil
1 Fresh Thyme
4 Shallots (cut in half)
500 grams Beef Stroganoff
1 tablespoon Flour
Black Pepper
Salt
1 cup thick Yoghurt
1 tablespoon Mustard Powder
2 tablespoons Parsley
Steps:
Boil the pasta al dente.
Melt the butter and olive oil in the pan.
Add the fresh thyme, shallots and mushrooms & sautee.
Mix the meat with flour, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Add some more butter to the pan and add the meat.
Drain the pasta. Add 1 cup boiling water to the meat.
When boils, cook for 15 minutes over low heat.
Mix yoghurt and powdered mustard.
Add slowly to the pan.
Cook sauce for 5 more minutes over low heat.
Transfer pasta to a plate, add Stroganoff and sauce.
Garnish with parsley. Serve.
