Stuffed Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce - Bonita's Kitchen

Ingredients:
4 Pork Chops ( Thick and no bone)
4 Cups Stale Bread Crumbs
2 Tsp Savoury
Sea salt and Black Pepper
1 Onion or 2 Tsp Onion Powder
2 Tbsp Butter
Olive Oil as needed
1 Can Mushroom or Fresh Mushrooms
1 Can Mushroom Soup
1 or 2 Cups Vegetable Broth
Method:
1. Clean pork chops under tap water, then place on cutting board to cut in half.
2. With a sharp knife, place it on the side at the middle, cut slowly ¾ of the way keeping the pork chop attached. ( Keep hand flat on pork chop while cutting to keep fingers away)
3. In a small bowl add stale bread crumbs, savoury, pinch sea salt and black pepper, grate ½ onion or 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tbsp butter and olive oil, mix together by hand or spoon.
4. In a saucepan on medium heat, add 1 tbsp butter, dash olive oil, let heat and add mushrooms and ½ chopped onion or 1 tsp onion powder let fry until sauté and golden brown.
5. Then add 1 can of mushroom soup, 1 or 2 cups vegetable broth, let cook and stir until hot. Lower heat to simmer!
6. In a baking sheet add 1 piece of parchment paper, then in a plate place one pork chop and add equal amounts of stuffing in each pork chops. Continue until all pork chops are stuffed. Fold over one side of the pork chop to cover the stuffing, you can close with tooth picks or cotton thread.
7. Bake in a 350ºF pre-heated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, let pork chops rest for 5 minutes.
PlateWhen pork chops are ready plate, pour a scoop of mushroom sauce over the pork chop. Serve with fresh vegetables, rice or potatoes.
