Chargrilled Oysters
This here is my NOLA inspired chargrilled oysters. They are so freaking good!!! I highly recommend using oysters that are fairly meaty because the oysters will shrink when it cooks on the grill. Be prepared to make a few dozen because you'll probably go through these pretty fast! ;-P
Ingredients:
- Oysters (I used Yellowband oysters)
- Old Bay Seasoning
- Smoked Paprika
- Cayenne Powder
- Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- Romano Cheese (grated)
- Parsley (chopped)
- Cracked Black Pepper
- Garlic (finely minced)
- Butter (melted)
Instructions:
1. Shuck oysters.
2. Sprinkle cajun seasoning over the oysters. I used Taste My Roots Spicy Creole Seasoning blend but you can use Old Bay, paprika, and cayenne powder. Or you can use whatever you like!
3. Top oysters with the grated Parmesan cheese, grated Romano cheese, chopped parsley, and cracked black pepper.
4. Melt butter in a saucepan and add minced garlic to the butter. Thoroughly mix the garlic into the butter.
5. Throw oysters onto a grill.
6. Pour garlic butter over the oysters. You want some of that garlic butter to drip into the flame so the flame will rise.
7. Cook until cheese is melted (approximately 3-5 minutes).
8. Remove oysters from the grill. You can top with more cheese, cajun seasoning, and fresh parsley. Can even squeeze a little lemon juice & serve with bread!
9. Enjoy!

Perfect Char-Grilled Oysters
Easy char-grilled fresh oysters cooked over Cowboy Lump Charcoal.
Daniel is showing you how quick it is to make this killer recipe at home! It starts with an easy tarragon infused butter sauce and a hint of heat from truffle-infused hot sauce. He shows you how to finish them off by drenching the oysters in that butter bath and finishing them over the flame with a little sharp cheese. All ready in under 20 minutes.
He's using the Cowboy Cauldron today, but this recipe is great for any grill where you can put the oysters over direct heat.
Ingredients:
► 5 lbs fresh oysters
► 2 lbs butter
► 2 tbsp fresh tarragon, minced
► 4 to 5 tbsp Truffle Hot Sauce
► 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
► 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Charbroiled Oysters in the Oven #oysters #oven cooking #horsdoeuvre #appetizers
I enjoy charbroiled oysters so much when visiting my hometown of New Orleans I wanted to recreate them at home in TN. So I decided to create my own recipe and I am not saying that this is in anyway authentic but it is authentically me. Watch and enjoy!!
RECIPE:
Turn your oven to your broiler setting and place on the second level from the top.
This recipe is for about 1 dozen oysters on the half shell.
Place each oysters shell on a baking sheet
If you have extra brine put a little in your shell if you like sopping with bread for me.
To each oyster add:
1 tsp white wine of your choice (optional)
combine 1/2 stick of melted butter, 1/4 cup minced garlic with 2 TBS Italian dressing
Spoon at least 1/2 TBS butter mixture on each oyster
Place pan of oysters under broiler for 2-3 minutes then remove
Next, mix
1 cup of grated Romano cheese
1 TBS dried parsley.
Cover each oyster with cheese mixture and place back into oven until the cheese melts and browns. Removed from oven and serve with bread of your choice for enjoying the brine.
You may also add shrimp, crabmeat, bacon or compound butters like shown in the video. Do your own thang and make it yours.
This recipe is originally used on the grill and can be modified to do so.
