Traditional German Beef Rolls Rouladen - Authentic Beef Roll Ups
Today I have for you only one recipe: Traditional German Rouladen in Englisch. German braised beef rolls are one of those dishes that Grandmother's cooked and here in Germany those are considered comfort food. Those German beef roll ups are stuffed with onions, bacon, pickled cucumber as well as salt and pepper. Vegetable Teriyaki Beef Steak Rolls (Korean Style) Recipe 韓国風肉巻き照り焼き (レシピ)
Last month (2012/1/22), there was a nationwide recipe contest in Japan called レシピの女王 (Queen of Home Cooking). The contest was broadcast on TV in Japan (nationwide) on 2012/2/6! Thanks for those who watched it ;)
Unfortunately, I couldn't go to the next stage but I met Iron Chef Sakai and Chef Chen! They were the judges :D They watched my YouTube video and said I should keep up my work! YouTube was nothing to do with the contest but I appreciate the chance they saw my video. I will do my best.
At the contest, Chef Chen suggested me to season the vegetables, so I modified my recipe!
This dish of course goes great with white rice and perfect for bento :)

Vegetable Teriyaki Beef Rolls (Korean Style)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 25min
Number of servings: 8
Ingredients:
8 thin slices of beef
16 frozen green beans
16 strips of Konjac (devil's tongue, voodoo lily, snake palm, or elephant yam)
16 strips of potato
16 strips of carrot
60g (2.2oz.) Kimchi (Korean pickle)
salt and cracked black pepper
starch
sesame oil
A
* 1 tsp. soy sauce
* 1 tsp. mirin (sweet sake)
B
* 1 tbsp. sake
* 1 tbsp. mirin (sweet sake)
* 1 tbsp. soy sauce
* 1 tbsp. ketchup
* 1 tsp. sugar
* 1 tsp. Gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
Directions:
1. Defrost green beans. Boil Konjac strips for a few seconds to skim the scum. Place potato and carrot strips on a microwavable dish, cover, and cook in the microwave for 3 minutes (500w).
2. Season 1 with A.
3. Mix B well.
4. Place the slices of beef so that the length of it is running flat and vertically towards you. Sprinkle a bit of salt and cracked black pepper, sprinkle starch (onto one side) and place the seasoned vegetable strips (2.) on the end of the beef close to you and start rolling.
5. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, place the rolls seam side down, cover, and steam on low heat for about 5 minutes. Then flip the rolls so that all sides are cooked equally.
6. Add 3 and cook on high heat until thick and glossy.

Resep Beef Enoki & Vegetables Roll (untuk 3-4 porsi)
Bahan:
500 gr sliced beef
1 pack jamur enoki
60 gr baby buncis
4 pcs baby corn, potong
3 siung bawang putih
1 batang daun bawang cung, iris
1 sdm maizena
Bahan saus:
1 sdm ebi, rendam air panas
3 siung bawang putih
1 ½ sdm kecap asin
1 ½ sdm saus tiram
½ sdm arak masak (opsional)
1 sdt minyak wijen
2 sdm chili oil
100 ml air
2 sdt gula
½ sdt penyedap
Bahan lainnya:
1 sdm jeruk nipis
Biji wijen
Langkah:
1. Siapkan 2-3 pcs daging slice untuk satu roll kemudian susun masing-masing baby buncis, jagung dan enoki di atasnya lalu gulung
2. Taburkan maizena kemudian ratakan
3. Cincang ebi dan haluskan bawang putih
4. Panaskan sedikit minyak, masukkan daging masak hingga sedikit kecokelatan di semua sisi, angkat, lalu pindahkan ke dalam piring
5. Di wajan yang sama, panaskan sedikit minyak, tumis bawang putih dan ebi hingga harum
6. Masukkan kecap asin, saus tiram, arak masak, minyak wijen, chili oil, air, gula, dan penyedap, aduk rata
7. Masukkan daging dan jeruk nipis
8. Beef enoki vegetables roll siap disajikan

Beef Enoki & Vegetable Rolls Recipe (yield 3-4 servings)
Ingredients:
500 g sliced beef
1 pack enoki mushroom
60 g baby green bean
4 pc baby corn, sliced
3 clove garlic
1 pc spring onion, sliced
1 tbsp cornstarch
Sauce ingredients:
1 tbsp dried shrimp, soaked in hot water
3 clove garlic
1.5 tbsp soy sauce
1.5 tbsp oyster sauce
½ tbsp cooking wine (optional)
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp chili oil
100 ml water
2 tsp sugar
½ tsp flavor enhancer
Others:
1 tbsp lime
Sesame seeds
Steps:
1. Prepare 2-3 pieces of beef slice for one roll. Arrange the baby green beans, baby corn, and enoki on top, then roll.
2. Sprinkle it with cornstarch and smear it on evenly.
3. Chop the dried shrimp and mince the garlic.
4. Heat some oil. Add the rolls and cook until a bit browned on all sides. Transfer to a plate.
5. In the same pan, heat some oil and sauté the garlic and dried shrimp until fragrant.
6. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, cooking wine, sesame oil, chili oil, water, sugar, and flavor enhancer. Stir.
7. Add the Beef Rolls in and lime juice.
8. Beef Enoki & Vegetable Rolls are ready to serve.

Cut the meat into thin cubes
Meat - 500 grams
Ginger paste - 2 tablespoons
Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Onion paste - 1 tbsp
Tokadai - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 2 cups
Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon
Cook for 1 hour
Oil - 3 tablespoons
Onion cube cup 1/2 cup
Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Boiled cauliflower - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Boiled carrots - 1/4 cup
Tomatoes are big at 1 o'clock
Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Shake occasionally
Capsicum - 1/2 cup
Black Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Hot spice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cook for 5 minutes.
Boiled beans - 1/4 cup
Take a look at the salt.
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Cook for 5 minutes.
Flour - 2 tablespoons
Water - 2 tablespoons
