Eggnog is a sweetened dairy-based beverage traditionally enjoyed around Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is made with milk and/or cream, sugar, and whipped eggs. It is often spiked with rum or brandy and has the flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon. However, it isn't vegan friendly. Vitamix shared with me a recipe for Vegan Eggnog that is frothy and delicious. I know that you all are going to enjoy this one. Now Vegans can join in on the holiday toasts. How to make Eggnog | The best Vegan Eggnog | 2 ways
So I tried out two different eggnog recipes and found the best eggnog ever! The first recipe is for people who can't handle heavy drinks and dislike coconut. The second eggnog is a coconut based eggnog and was AMAZING!
Here is the recipe:
2 cups of oat milk 1 cup full fat coconut milk (chilled) 1/2 cup soaked, raw unsalted cashews 1/4 cup hemp seeds 3 soaked dates 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or to taste cinnamon to taste nutmeg to taste pinch of Himalayan sea salt Blend in a high powered blender and enjoy!
This vegan eggnog was creamy, decadent and not heavy like regular eggnog!
