Delicious Vegan Tacos with TVP! Easy recipe!
I've recently discovered TVP and had to try it out making vegan tacos. Here's an easy video recipe to show you how I make them.
a TVP Taco recipe - (Textured Vegetable Protein) imitation ground meat
In this video I use Bob's Red Mill TVP. TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) has similar texture to meat. In its dehydrated form, TVP has a shelf life of longer than a year. It can be used similarly to ground meat. TVP being used by itself as a substitute has no fat at all, and can be effectively seasoned to taste like red meat. TVP is relatively low cost, high protein content, and long shelf life.
imitation meat TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein):
taco seasoning mix:
taco shells:
When rehydrated, TVP has a fibrous, spongy texture and a behavior similar to ground meat. It is easy to work with, as it absorbs the flavor of any ingredient it is seasoned or marinated with. Use TVP to make vegetarian and vegan versions of meat based dishes like burgers, tacos, burritos, sloppy joes, chili, spaghetti, meatloaves, etc.
WAYS TO USE TVP | 3 Easy Vegan Recipes with TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein)
Have you tried TVP (textured vegetable protein) before? Well, if you haven’t, you seriously need to get on to it!
TVP is an incredibly affordable and nutritious ingredient that can be easily implemented into a bunch of recipes. It’s high in protein, iron, magnesium and low in calories, making this an ideal nutritional source for vegan in vegan recipes.
It is an ingredient that often gets overlooked, but here are three amazing recipes using TVP that’ll teach you how exactly to use TVP.

???? I'm your host Stephanie and behind the camera, you have my sister Cloud (☁️). I started cooking at 4 years of age. What?! Yes (LOL) I pulled up a chair and my first choice was to fry an egg. I was hungry and that’s all I have to say about that experience. I would like to say I’m completely self-taught in the kitchen, but I have the lovely women in my family to thank. They taught me to honor my ancestors and to make my Mexican Cuisine comfortable for my home. I thank our creator for my curiosity and my never-ending search for the next gastronomic satiation. Cooking is a huge part of my daily life as I prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for my two American Korean/Mexican boys. I know who does that these days? Me, I homeschool my two boys and I’m grateful for every moment spent. ❤️ If you love our spectacular homemade recipes, Please take the time to Subscribe and support our channel.
