How To make Spicy Szechuan Tofu
24 oz Soft tofu
2 tb Oil
1 ts Minced fresh ginger
1 ea Garlic clove, minced
3 tb Chopped scallions
1 tb Szechuan hot bean paste
1 tb Tamari
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Sugar
1/2 c Stock
1/2 tb Cornstarch dissolved in 2
-- tb water 1 ts Sesame oil
2 dr Hot chili oil
1/4 ts Szechuan peppercorn powder
Drain & rinse tofu. Drain again. Cut into 1 inch square pieces. Set wok over high flame & add oil. When hot, add ginger, garlic & 2 tb scallions, cook for 30 seconds. Add hot bean paste & tofu. Stir gently. Add tamari, salt, sugar & stock, bring to a full boil. Thicken with cornstarch. Add sesame oil, chili oil & peppercorn powder. Sprinkle with remaining scallions & serve with brown rice. Sichuan Salt Pepper Tofu Recipe | EASY CHINESE VEGAN DISH
LAY HO MA everyone! This is one side dish you're going to want to try! Serve this with delicious fluffy white rice or the perfect bowl of Chinese congee, and you're off to the races. Join me in this episode and learn how to make a Sichuan Chinese salt and pepper tofu! Let's begin.
Ingredients:
1lb extra firm tofu
1/2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
3 pieces garlic
3 sticks green onion
1 piece ginger
1/4 cup dried chilies
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
1/4 pink salt
drizzle of olive oil
Directions:
1. Pre-heat your oven to 375F
2. Dry off the tofu with a paper towel. Then, slice into bite sized cubes
3. Spread the tofu onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper
4. Bake for 15-20min
5. Toast the peppercorns in a hot dry sauté pan for 1min
6. Transfer to a mortar and pestle and, add the salt, and grind finely
7. Roughly chop the dried chilies, roughly chop the garlic, thinly slice the ginger, and roughly chop the green onion
8. In a hot sauté pan, drizzle some olive oil. Then, add the chilies, garlic, ginger, and green onion. Sauté for 3-5min.
9. Add the tofu and sauté for 2-3min. Then, add the ground pepper. Give it a stir.
10. Serve immediately!

How to make Spicy Szechuan Tofu Stir Fry
This delicious Sichuan spicy tofu stir fry recipe made with crispy tofu and vegetables in a spicy, Sichuan style delicious sauce. This classic Chinese tofu is better than takeout and is ready in 30 minutes!

???? Ingredients
▢400 gram Firm tofu About 14oz, Firm or extra firm tofu cut into 1-inch dices.
▢½ Onion Cut small dices
▢1 Green chilli pepper Or bell pepper cut small pieces
▢1 Red chilli pepper Or bell pepper cut small pieces
▢1 Carrot Cut 1-cm cubes
▢1 tbsp Garlic Finely chopped/minced
▢½ tbsp Ginger Finely chopped/minced
▢5-6 Dry long red chilli Sichuan chilli or choice of dry chilli mild/hot
▢1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns Roasted and crushed into medium coarse
▢Vegetable oil for frying Or neutral flavour oil
Tofu Seasonings and Coating
▢1 tbsp Soy sauce Light soy sauce or regular all-purpose soy sauce
▢8-10 tbsp Corn starch About ½ cup, corn or potato starch
Sauce
▢2 tbsp Light soy sauce Or all-purpose soy sauce
▢½ tsp Dark soy sauce
▢1 tbsp Sugar
▢1 tbsp Chinese black rice vinegar Or rice vinegar
▢1 tsp Sesame oil
▢1 tsp Corn starch
▢2 tbsp Water
Instruction
Pat dry the tofu and cut it into 1-inch size cubes and marinate with soy sauce.
Coat the tofu with corn starch and fry them until crispy.
Prepare the sauce and set them aside
Stir fry the vegetables and follow with ginger, garlic, Sichuan peppercorns, and chilli peppers.
Pour the sauce in and fried tofu pieces.
Combine everything well until the sauce is thick and glossy.
Remove from heat and enjoy with rice or noodles.
